Roots & Wholeslice are looking for a passionate chef who has sous chef or ideally head chef experience and has great leadership qualities. We have been going since 2015 and have grown a wonderful following of people who love our food, we pride ourselves on making all our food in house whether it be sauces, dressings, marinates to pastries, french toast and pancakes. We are looking for someone to come on aboard and help take us to the next level again with even more creative dishes focusing on making every in house. We are looking to launch a Roots by night menu to run alongside our ever growing pizza arm of the business and need help building that menu of which we have a few fan favourites. We need a leader who can come on board to help improve and train our current passionate team, someone who has experience in busy environments and someone looking for a new challenge and keen to put their own stamp on things. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the curry section of the menu, ensuring that curry dishes are prepared to the highest standards. Prepare a variety of classic Indian curry dishes. Maintain consistency and presentation of dishes, ensuring every meal meets our standards. Experiment with flavours, spices, and techniques to create exciting curry recipes while adhering to traditional methods. Ensure kitchen cleanliness and adhere to all health and safety regulations. Work closely with the head chef to manage inventory and ensure the availability of fresh ingredients. Ensure the timely preparation and serving of dishes during peak times.
