We are a fast-paced and busy café, so we are looking for someone who is confident working under pressure and has previous barista experience. Your Responsibilities • Preparing high-quality coffee and other hot/cold drinks., • Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently., • Providing excellent customer service and engaging positively with customers., • Operating the till/POS and handling payments., • Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked drinks/barista area., • Cleaning and maintaining the coffee machine, grinder and equipment., • Helping with opening and daily preparation from 6:30 AM., • Following food hygiene, health & safety and cleanliness standards., • Supporting the wider café team during busy periods. Requirements • Previous barista experience is essential., • Experience in a busy café or hospitality environment., • Good knowledge of coffee and espresso-based drinks., • Friendly and confident personality with excellent customer service skills., • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure., • Reliable, punctual and hardworking., • Available for early morning shifts from 6:30 AM. What you’ll be doing • Welcoming customers, taking orders and payments, and recommending favourites from our menu., • Preparing and serving filled focaccia, coffee and drinks consistently to our standards., • Keeping the shop clean, tidy, stocked and ready for service, helping with preparation, opening, closing and deliveries., • Following food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures, and flagging customer concerns, equipment issues or stock shortages to the manager or Team Leader in charge., • Looking after coffee equipment and following daily cleaning routines., • If you bring barista experience, using your skills to dial in grinders, check coffee quality, steam and texture milk, and help colleagues build their confidence.
