Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing a variety of breakfast dishes, with a strong focus on traditional English & Turkish breakfast items. The role involves working early morning shifts to ensure the timely preparation and service of high-quality breakfast meals. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, cook, and present breakfast items including poached, fried and scrambled eggs, bacon, rashers, pastrami, sausages, baked beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, and toast. Cook a variety of breakfast dishes, such as omelettes, shahshuka, and continental breakfast items. Ensure that all food is cooked to high standards and served on time. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following hygiene and safety protocols. Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients as needed. Collaborate with the kitchen team to prepare for breakfast service and other meals if required. Handle customer requests and dietary requirements with professionalism. Ensure that equipment is properly maintained and cleaned. Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef or similar role in a restaurant or hotel. Familiarity with traditional English & Turkish breakfast dishes. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously. Strong organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality food.

Our Kitchen Assistants/Team Members are responsible for preparing our food offering to the highest quality and standards. Their role is crucial in maintaining a smooth and efficient operation in the kitchen. Opening hours: from 10.00am to 2.00am from Monday to Sunday What you'll do at Pasta Evangelists: - Ensuring that the kitchen is set up and ready for each service with the right amount of prepared Pasta Sauces and other ingredients that ensure the right amount for quick service but does not negatively impact food costs i.e. wastage. Including preparing par levels in the pre-prepared cold delivery fridge. - Wear a full smart clean uniform to the brand standard at all times whilst on shift and protective clothing as required. - Ensure the full Pasta Evangelists Standard is adhered to, thereby ensuring our Pasta and other Products are kept to the highest possible standard for Best product quality to our customer. - To ensure that the kitchen is exceptionally clean and complies with all Health and Safety / Quality and Safety regulations. - To keep an eye on the Availability and Inform the Team leaders and wider team in advance. - Document and keep a record of information on food as appropriate to the company policy and effective date labelling and make sure stock rotation principles (FIFO) are fully adhered to. - Ensure that all par levels are maintained. - Ensure any food wastage is recorded accurately. - Utilise the SOP to maximise the quality and speed of food readiness. - For all equipment i.e. Fridges, Pasta Boiler, Ovens, Microwaves etc ensure that the right temperature records are kept and the correct procedures are followed for safe food handling. - Ensure all equipment is maintained to the SOP standard. E.g. Kitchen management system, oven, fridges, freezers etc. - Preparing and cooking food to the highest of standards and complying with the preparation of all food that meets Pasta Evangelist’s requirements as laid out within “How to Cards”. - Ensure all food is prepared quickly, in the correct order, to the How to Card standard and in line with all SOP’s. - Full Checking deliveries into the Store and reporting any issues to the Team Leader/ Manager. To Ensure that all deliveries are Received & stored appropriately and storage requirements are adhered to. - Full Operating the wash-up area effectively and ensuring any equipment used is thoroughly cleaned. - Full Use correct signage whilst cleaning is taking place. - Full Ensure that all rubbish is disposed of correctly at all times, following the company waste management processes in relation to recycling and adhering to Local Authority requirements. - Reporting of any equipment defects quickly to Team leader or Area Manager. - Full Ensure that all close down kitchen procedures are followed and that the kitchen is always clean and prepared as possible for the next shift. - Full Regularly organise pest checks and report any concerns to the Team leader and higher management. Who are you: - You have knowledge of safe food handling, storage, and preparation techniques to prevent foodborne illnesses (preferable). - You are familiar with basic culinary techniques such as chopping, slicing, dicing, and measuring ingredients. - You have the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively. - You are meticulous and detail-oriented when it comes to food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining kitchen organization. - You have the ability to work well as part of a team, communicate effectively with colleagues, and follow instructions from the Team Leader and/or Area Manager. - You are willing to adapt to changing situations, work schedules, and tasks as required in a dynamic kitchen environment. Professional chefs needed for a new opening in Watford, St Albans Road. 5 min from Watford Junction station. A new food & drink concept with a great space. We want to offer difference to the area we are located. Our concept is very family and children friendly. Our food and drinks menus are full of fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. We are trying to create a community place. A boutique cafe with great relaxing and chill out seating and open plan kitchen with a back kitchen. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served as well as daily specials. The cafe will be open for 7 days from early in the morning till late. We are expecting breakfast to be busy at the weekends. Maximum seating is around 25 people. We are building our team now to work on a rota bases.
