Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present dishes to a high standard in line with menu specifications and quality requirements.
- Ensure consistency in taste, portion control, and presentation of all dishes served.
- Follow kitchen procedures to ensure timely preparation and smooth service during peak hours.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety in all food preparation areas.
- Monitor food storage, labelling, and stock rotation (FIFO) to prevent waste and ensure food safety compliance.
- Assist with stock checks and report shortages or wastage to the Kitchen Manager or Head Chef.
- Support the development of new dishes, specials, and menu improvements when required.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to maintain an organised and efficient kitchen environment.
- Ensure allergen procedures are followed and food is prepared in accordance with customer requirements.
