We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse or Health Care Assistant to join our fantastic healthcare team at an independent private GP clinic in Wokingham. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care within a busy clinical setting, supporting patients with their health needs. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to patient wellbeing while working in a supportive environment. The Practice Nurse or Health Care Assistant will be responsible for providing clinical care and providing support to GPs.
Duties
- Phlebotomy, administering vaccinations, injections and wound care
- Supporting patients with weight loss management
- Assisting with procedures including coil insertion
- Ear wax removal (training can be provided)
- Travel clinic appointments (training can be provided)
- Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records using IT systems
- Communicating effectively with patients
- Assisting with administrative tasks related to patient care and clinic organisation
Skills required
- Experience working within a primary care setting
- Strong IT skills, including familiarity with electronic health records systems
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate approach with a commitment to delivering high standards of patient care
