Family-run friendly Italian restaurant searching for a salad and preparation chef de partie for our Battersea Northcote road site. We are looking for someone with experience as a chef de partie, ideally with knowledge of Italian, and able to to work in a team, in a fast paced environment to a high standard. Rate of pay will be adjusted to experience levels. Posting for full time position, but part-time positions on weekends will also be considered. Training and growth opportunities.

As the Head Pastry Chef at CÉ LA VI you will be the driving force behind our pastry program. You will lead and inspire our pastry team, oversee kitchen operations, help develop new dessert menus, and ensure that our guests experience the finest in pastry craftsmanship. This role presents an excellent opportunity to shape the dessert offerings and make a lasting impact on our culinary reputation. Key Responsibilities • Lead the creation and execution of dessert menus, including pastries, cakes, and other sweet treats., • Supervise and mentor the Pastry team., • Maintain the highest standards of pastry quality, taste, and presentation., • Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering, and quality control., • Ensure strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations., • Develop and introduce new pastry recipes and techniques., • Collaborate with the management team to meet financial targets and guest expectations., • Act as a pastry ambassador, representing CÉ LA VI in the culinary community. Qualifications • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Head Pastry Chef in a high-end bakery or restaurant., • A culinary degree or equivalent certification is highly desirable., • Exceptional pastry skills with a portfolio showcasing your creative and technical abilities., • Strong leadership skills with experience in leading and mentoring pastry teams., • Proficiency in dessert menu planning, recipe development, and cost control., • In-depth knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards., • Ability to excel in a fast-paced kitchen environment., • Outstanding communication and teamwork skills., • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

As a Line Chef, you will be responsible for preparing food to order, maintaining high food safety standards, and ensuring that each dish is cooked to perfection. You will work alongside a team of kitchen staff.
