Prep Chef - Comptoir Gourmand

We are looking for a full time Commis Pastry Chef and a Full Time Commis Savoury Chef to be responsible for assisting in the crafting of delicious desserts and confectionery, as well as savoury items and pastry based delicacies. You should be passionate about baking and hard working. To be successful in this role you must be well-versed in the culinary arts and adhere to strict standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Savoury Commis Chef Responsibilities: • Assisting the Head Savoury Chef with the operating and management of the savoury section of the kitchen and liaising with the Head Chef to ensure a successful working environment., • Preparing ingredients and handling cooking and other kitchen equipment., • Creating savoury goods by following a set recipe., • -Ensuring their section of the kitchen adheres to safety and health regulations. Pasrty Commis Chef Responsibilities: • Assisting the Head Baker with the operating and management of the pastry section of the kitchen and liaising with the Head Chef to ensure a successful working environment., • Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment., • Creating pastries, baked goods, and confections, by following a set recipe., • -Ensuring their section of the kitchen adheres to safety and health regulations. Savoury Commis Chef Requirements: • 2 or more years in the industry, • Working knowledge of cooking techniques and the savoury-making process., • In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, and nutrition., • Capable of working in a fast-paced, production environment. Pastry Chef Requirements: • 2 or more years in the industry, • Working knowledge of baking techniques and the pastry-making process., • In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, and nutrition., • Capable of working in a fast-paced, production environment.
