Fallow was founded by three individuals in May 2019, two chefs Jack Croft and William Murray, and career hospitality entrepreneur James Robson. The essence of this combination makes up much of Fallows DNA, where conscious culinary creativity meets hospitality experience and passion. Fallow’s permanent home in St James’s market was established in November 2021 and has since attracted a string of awards including both the Marie Claire and GQ ‘sustainable restaurant of the year’ and the Caterer award for ‘best new restaurant’. As a Doorman, you will be the first and last point of contact for our guests, delivering a warm, polished, and genuinely hospitable welcome at the entrance. You will play a key role in creating a strong first impression, managing guest flow at the door, and working closely with the reception and front-of-house teams to ensure a seamless arrival and departure experience. Key responsibilities: • Welcome all guests with warmth, professionalism, and confidence, creating an exceptional first impression., • Manage the entrance area, ensuring smooth guest flow in coordination with the reception team., • Assist with guest arrivals and departures, including opening doors and offering courteous assistance., • Communicate effectively with the reception team regarding reservations, wait times, and walk-ins., • Provide accurate information about the venue, services, and operating hours., • Handle guest queries at the door in a calm, friendly, and solution-focused manner., • Maintain order and ambiance at the entrance, ensuring it reflects the brand’s standards., • Monitor capacity levels and support the team in managing busy service periods professionally., • Ensure the entrance area remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times. About you: • Previous experience as a Doorman, Host, or in a guest-facing role within a high-quality hospitality environment., • Naturally warm, approachable, and confident in engaging with guests., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Strong awareness and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure., • Impeccable personal presentation aligned with luxury hospitality standards., • A team player who works closely with reception and front-of-house colleagues., • Proactive, observant, and attentive to detail., • Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences from the very first interaction.
