Talentmark are recruiting for a Development Chemist to join a well-reputed adhesives manufacturing company based in the Midlands on a full time, permanent basis, for a salary ranging from £40,000 - £50,000 per annum. Working hours will be Monday - Friday, 8.30 am - 4.30 pm, 37.5 hours per week (with 30 minute unpaid lunch break daily). The Company: Our client is a long established and highly successful manufacturer of adhesive chemicals, part of a larger group. They now have an exciting opportunity for a Development Chemist to join their team. Reporting to the General Manager, the Development Chemist’s primary function is to develop new and innovative products to customer and market requirements. Location: The Development Chemist will be based at the company's site near Kettering, easily commutable by road from Peterborough, Northampton, Leicester and surrounding areas. Development Chemist Role: Your main duties will be to: • Formulate a variety of adhesive types including water based and hot-melt. • Support product qualification and approval processes. • Evaluate and qualify new and alternative raw materials. • Plan and manage development activities according to the requirements of the technical department and associated quality system. • Ensure effective communication with internal teams – Commercial, Operations and Procurement. • Problem-solve – Investigate ...
