Personal Assistant/Carer Required ForMuslim Male With Severe Autism Job Types: Full-time, Permanent The client is based in Northolt, London. He is a non-verbal 28-year-old with severe autism, complex needs, high sensory processing needs, obsessive compulsive disorder, health care needs and challenging behaviour. He enjoys routine, doing a multitude of activities, having fun, and thrives on the encouragement and motivation given to him by those closest to him. The client is highly dependent on his family which means the care team work closely alongside the family members. He is looking for an experienced PA to join his care team who is caring, compassionate, energetic and easy to get on with. Shifts can vary between 8-12 hours between Monday to Friday. The position is FULL TIME only. Duties will include but are not limited to: • Undertaking personal care tasks like toileting, showering, physio, medication, etc. • Assisting with health needs such as desensitization, sensory regulation, muscle cramps ext. • Domestic duties such as maintaining a clean home, washing clothes, cleaning dishes, cooking ext. • Organising, preparing, and accompanying him to appointments, outdoor activities, trips out, holidays or events, etc. Essential Requirements: • NI Number and proof of right to work • Valid DBS • Band 3+ support worker • Be punctual, reliable and be flexible with your working hours, when required • Full UK Driving License • Minimum 3 GCSE’s including English/Level 3 NVQ • Training in Challenging Behaviour • Training in Safeguarding • Be discreet and caring • Must not be in full time or part time education (No students) • Must not be looking for a sponsorship Other requirements: • Previous experience and skills in caring for someone with complex care needs is desirable but not essential as training will be provided • Trained in Makaton/Social stories • Important to have good hygiene as the client is sensitive to strong smells and prone to infections Salary: £18 per hour, Self-employed NO CASH IN HAND
