SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School Hillingdon, London | Full-time | Long-term (Temp to Perm) | November Start Milk Education is working with a dedicated ASD specialist primary school in Hillingdon to recruit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role starting this November, with the potential to become permanent. The school supports pupils with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and associated communication and learning needs. They provide a nurturing and structured environment where pupils are supported to develop their independence, communication, and life skills. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in: • PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), • SCERTS framework, • EQUALS curriculum, • Supporting pupils with EAL (English as an Additional Language), • Sensory play and sensory-based learning approaches Key responsibilities: • Supporting pupils with ASD in both 1:1 and small-group settings, • Implementing structured programmes such as PECS, SCERTS, and EQUALS, • Facilitating sensory play activities to support engagement and development, • Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to provide consistent support, • Creating an inclusive, safe, and stimulating learning environment We are looking for candidates who: • Have proven SEN experience, ideally in an ASD specialist or primary school setting, • Can confidently implement autism-specific communication and learning strategies, • Are patient, adaptable, and passionate about supporting children with ASD, • Are committed to a long-term role with the opportunity to transition to permanent What Milk Education offers: • Competitive daily rates, • Ongoing CPD and SEN-specific training opportunities, • Support from a SEN-specialist recruitment team, • The opportunity to grow your career in a highly supportive environment
