Hours: 24 hour shift rota ( 3 week rolling rota) Registration: Social Care For Wales and DBS Update Service Full UK Drivers Licence IT Literate : Microsoft Outlook, email, word, excel. New Residential Childcare Career Vacancies Ideal Experience: At least 2 years in a registered residential children’s home. ESBD/CSE Must have a good understanding of key working, risk assessments, placement plans, self harm, attachment disorders, ability to manage challenging behaviours both physical and emotional. Team working, good communication skills, willing to go the extra mile. Be passionate about working with young people. Skills, Competences, Knowledge, Time Management, Team working, Communication, Recording & Reporting, Risk Assessments, Care Planning .All Aspects of Health and Safety, good strategies for behavioural management of complex ASD /ESBD children. Key Working, Performance mgt systems, Safe Guarding. CSE, Self Harm, Attachment Disorders, Domestic Violence, Drug and Alcohol Awareness. Cyber safety. Independence living skills. Personal Qualities: A good role model. Honest, professional, hardworking, reliable, willing to go the extra mile, probity, doesn’t gossip, caring empathetic ,supportive, doesn’t cross professional boundaries. Law abiding. Flexible, to be able to work: bank holidays, evenings, provide staff cover, form part of a on call rota. To go away on short breaks and holidays with residents. Be prepared to be snowed in.
