If this sounds like you, you’ll fit right in at Urban Greens. About The Role ✅ As a key member of our kitchen team, you’ll help prepare everything needed for a successful day in our stores. Your responsibilities will include: • Preparing fresh ingredients to Urban Greens standards., • Washing, chopping and portioning vegetables and other ingredients., • Following food safety and hygiene procedures at all times., • Safely storing and rotating deliveries (FIFO)., • Managing stock to reduce wastage and report shortages where necessary., • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen and prep areas., • Adhering to daily cleaning schedules., • Upholding high standards in appearance, punctuality and conduct., • Working closely with the team to ensure all preparation is completed before service begins. Working schedule: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 11:00am. Why You Might Not Want To Work For Us… 🤨 This role starts early, and preparation is everything. We are looking for a part-time kitchen prep assistant for a catering / food business based in East London E14. Main duties: • Meat cutting and preparation, • Vegetable cutting and food prep, • Basic kitchen cleaning and organisation, • Supporting general back-of-house kitchen work Working hours: • Around every other day, • 3–5 hours per shift, • Exact days and times can be discussed Requirements: • Previous kitchen experience required, • Confident with meat and vegetable preparation, • Good knife skills and fast working speed, • Reliable, clean, punctual and able to work independently, • Must have the legal right to work in the UK Location: East London, E14 Pay: Legal hourly pay at or above the UK National Minimum Wage / National Living Wage. Rate can be discussed depending on experience. Any working trial shift will be paid legally.
