    Flexible Part-Time Tutoring Roles in South West London Harrison Allen is a small, selective tutoring company seeking exceptional Primary and Secondary School Teachers and Tutors to join our growing team. We provide high-quality one-to-one tuition for students across South West London, including a significant amount of Local Authority-funded daytime work, as well as after-school tutoring opportunities. We are particularly looking for tutors and teachers specialising in: • English, • Maths, • Sciences, • Humanities This is an excellent opportunity for experienced educators looking for flexible part-time hours while making a meaningful impact on students’ academic progress and confidence. The Role • Deliver engaging one-to-one tuition sessions, • Support students across Primary and Secondary levels, • Work with Local Authority referrals and private clients, • Daytime and after-school opportunities available, • Flexible working hours to suit your schedule Requirements Applicants must: • Hold a completed degree, • Have teaching and/or tutoring experience, • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and communication skills, • Be professional, reliable, and student-focused Ideally, candidates will also: • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), • Have experience supporting a range of learning needs and abilities Safeguarding You will require an Enhanced DBS registered with the Government Update Service. Responsibilities • Deliver individualised tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s learning needs, abilities and pace, • Support students with Special Educational Needs, including learners who may require additional help with communication, concentration, organisation or academic development, • Adapt teaching methods, resources and activities to make learning accessible and engaging, • Support students in subjects including Maths and English, according to their individual level and educational goals, • Develop structured lesson plans and learning activities appropriate to each student, • Monitor and record student progress, identifying strengths and areas requiring further support, • Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students develop confidence and independence, • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding progress, learning objectives and areas for development, • Work collaboratively with the GoTutors team and other professionals where appropriate to provide consistent support, • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, attendance, topics covered and student progress, • Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment Requirements • Previous experience tutoring, teaching or supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs, • A patient, empathetic and adaptable approach to teaching and learning, • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain concepts in different ways according to individual learning needs, • Ability to build positive and professional relationships with students and parents, • Good organisational and time-management skills, • Ability to plan engaging lessons and adapt educational materials for different abilities and learning styles, • A genuine interest in supporting children and young people to achieve their academic and personal potential, • Knowledge or experience of SEN strategies and inclusive education is highly desirable, • Relevant qualifications in education, SEN, teaching or subject-specific areas are advantageous but not essential, • An appropriate enhanced DBS check will be required for the role ( Can be arranged through GoTutors)
