A competitor in Japan went from zero to $100M revenue and a $1B valuation in five years. A US competitor hit $7M revenue in year one and a $100M valuation. Who We Are DealFlowAgent is an AI-native M&A advisory firm based helping business owners in the US and UK sell their companies. We use conversational AI agents alongside experienced human advisors to modernize the M&A process for businesses selling their companies to our fast growing buyer relationship graph. We are primarily focussed on helping essential services including home services (e.g. fire safety, plumbing etc.) and healthcare (dental clinics, care homes etc.). These are future proof industries and billions in funding is shifting into these industries. Backed by a top-tier VC with very early investments in Canva, Notion, Uber (4900x ROI at IPO), and SpaceX (in 2008), and angel investors including the former CTO of Temenos (grew the company from 0 to $1B revenue and $7B valuation). They invested in Joe and DealFlowAgent because M&A for lower middle market businesses is broken, and we are the team to fix it. The Role Join as the first commercial hire and working with 3 other team members. This is a front-line, high-exposure role — phone calls with prospects, meetings with buyers, and deep in live deals every day. Some work is manual and requires creative, data-driven thinking. Other work is supercharged by our custom AI agents, templates, and SOPs — they act like teammates you operate through prompting. They make you superhuman, but you need to be ruthless in checking their output. Your time splits roughly across 3 areas: 1.) Build & Run the Growth Engine (40%) • Own the inbound and outbound pipeline end-to-end, • Manage outbound systems, monitor engagement, call warm leads immediately, • Research prospects, write high-converting sequences, think strategically about psychology, A/B testing, and conversion rates, • One day you are crafting an outbound campaign. The next you are on a call with a business owner who has run their company for 30 years — show compassion, this is their legacy. Build rapport, demonstrate how our AI-native model outperforms traditional brokers, and secure meetings 2.) Deal & Client Operations (40%) • Engage with business buyers — whilst hundreds sign up via our conversational AI agent, you will also meet buyers directly for existing sell-side clients, • Learn their search criteria, highlight our clients' acquisition opportunities, and follow up fast, • Support 3–10 live deals: manage timelines, buyer communications, and data rooms, • Onboard new clients seamlessly, • Handle finance admin: invoicing (Xero), payments (Stripe), P&L and KPI tracking 3.) General Roles & Projects (20%) • One day you are coordinating a conference booth. The next you are scheduling candidate interviews. Then you are building a new process in Notion, or creating viral social media content, or running a press outreach campaign, • This is a startup turning into a scaleup — you will be involved in everything, and that is what makes it exciting Who You Are • Experience in end-to-end M&A processes either at a boutique advisory firm, corp dev or private equity. You spoke to clients, spoke to buyers, and managed deals through to completion. Worked on 4 more M&A deals end to end., • Fast-growing startup experience. You know the pace, the tools, and the beautiful chaos. Comfortable with a modern tech stack — outbound systems, CRMs, no-code tools, • You love the phone. High energy, warm interpersonal skills, build rapport quickly. Comfortable pushing back when needed, always with respect, • Obsessively organized. You live in the CRM, never drop a ball, and if something slips, you fix it and own it. You love tools like Notion — tracking decisions, documenting processes, building playbooks — but you do not over-engineer it, • Exceptional prioritization. Highly organized in unstructured environments. Context switching energizes you. You take complete ownership of tasks and have a bias towards action, • Data-driven, not ego-driven. You use experience, AI, and multiple sources to make rational calls. Strong opinions, loosely held. You do not get offended when professionally challenged — you change course if the data says otherwise. High data literacy and excellent spreadsheet skills, • AI-native. High agency to automate repetitive tasks and move faster than larger teams. You operate AI agents, prompt them, and check their output ruthlessly. But you are also willing to roll your sleeves up and do things manually, • You keep the team focused. Track KPIs, update OKRs, and come to the table with insights — not just numbers, • High-slope learner. You want to be a founder one day. This is an apprenticeship in building a company from the ground up. You have demonstrated high achievement early in your career Qualifications • Requirement Details :, • M&A Experience: 3+ years at a boutique IB or M&A advisory, • Startup Experience: 1–2 years at a fast-growing startup or in a fast moving environment, • Financial Modeling, • Competent in financial modeling, due diligence, and reporting, • Data Literacy: High data literacy, excellent spreadsheet skills, • CommunicationClear, concise, human-sounding — in writing and verbally. Does not ramble without clarity of thought, • Education: Bachelor's in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field, • Bonus: Experience in investments, consulting, or corporate finance This Role Is Not For You If… • You have only worked at a large corporate on one or two massive $500M+ deals with limited client or buyer contact. We need full end-to-end M&A exposure, • You have not experienced startup pace. Ambiguity and change will overwhelm you, • You do not like being on the phone (clients are owners in their 40s to 70s). They like to chat on the phone, • You want a 9-to-5. We work hard and move fast, • You need structure handed to you. You will be creating it, not operating within it FAQ • Is this fully remote? No — this is a hybrid role. You will typically be in the office 2–3 days per week (near Battersea Power Station) and work remotely 2–3 days. We value face-to-face collaboration, especially in the early days of building the team., • What does profit sharing look like?We are a highly profitable company forecasting over 50% margins. Profit sharing is performance-based and could be anywhere from £10,000 to £40,000 in your first year, on top of your base salary and equity., • What does 0.7% equity actually mean?It means you own a meaningful piece of the company. If we follow the trajectory of competitors in this space, that equity could become very valuable. We want you to feel like an owner, not an employee., • Will I get support and mentorship?Yes. You will work directly with the founder and Chief of Staff daily. We will invest in your growth — but we also expect you to be self-directed and take initiative., • What stage is the company at?We are well-capitalised, revenue-generating, and profitable. This is not a pre-revenue bet — we have paying clients, live deals, and strong investor backing. Compensation & Perks • Component Details: Base Salary: £55,000, • Bonus through Profit Sharing: £10,000–£40,000 in Year 1 (extremely rare to have this but our model allows us to be highly profitable and we want to reward you), • Equity: 0.7% (meaningful ownership stake), • Working Pattern Hybrid — 2–3 days in office, 2–3 days remote, • Employee Referral Scheme, • Refer new clients (business owners/ buyers), get rewarded with more bonuses, • Lunches: Free team lunches 4x a month, • Coffee: Unlimited coffee at the office, • Regular Socials: Team socials and events How to Apply • Apply today — takes 90 seconds.
