The Role: This is not a passive account management role; it is designed for a commercially aggressive, relationship-led leader. You will act as the primary strategic architect and ruthless internal ambassador for a high-value portfolio of clients. You will own the customer journey from onboarding, ensuring every digital marketing investment translates into measurable commercial success and—crucially—an exceptional client perception of ROI. Key Responsibilities Strategic Relationship & Sentiment Management • Business Goal Alignment: Deeply understand each client’s business goals and ensure all campaigns, performance targets, and KPIs are perfectly aligned with their long-term objectives., • Perception & Sentiment Ownership: Manage not just the raw data, but the client’s perception of value. Identify hidden objections and ensure clients fully understand the ROI delivered through high-level performance reviews., • Executive Influence: Become the "go-to" advisor for business owners, building deep trust and guiding their digital growth strategy. Ruthless Customer Advocacy & Assertiveness • Internal Ambassador: Act as the customer’s advocate within the agency and with external partners. Be assertive and not "take no for an answer" when ensuring technical teams and suppliers deliver the performance clients expect., • Client Accountability: Diplomatically but firmly follow up with clients to ensure they fulfill their responsibilities. Identify ways to make it easier for them to execute tasks that affect campaign performance to prevent avoidable churn. 1. Proactive Performance & Issue Resolution • Pre-emptive Problem Solving: Monitor account health and KPIs daily to identify "red flags" or recurring issues before the client reports it. Adhere strictly to review schedules to ensure no problem goes unaddressed., • Rapid Escalation: Proactively identify and escalate performance issues. Implement solutions immediately—prioritising action over lengthy debate to ensure timely results. Process Evolution & Continuous Improvement • Success Blockers: Maintain a "continuous improvement" mentality. Identify weaknesses in delivery processes and implement changes to ensure internal and partner processes are always fit for purpose., • Commercial Expansion: Identify and execute opportunities for account growth and service expansion, ensuring high retention and increased lifetime value., • Market Leadership: Stay ahead of emerging market trends to provide cutting-edge recommendations that keep clients ahead of their competition. Required Skills & Experience • Agency Pedigree: Proven experience in a client-facing role within a digital agency., • Commercial Acumen: A track record of managing multiple high-value accounts simultaneously while identifying growth opportunities., • Technical Literacy: Comfortable discussing complex performance metrics and translating them into ROI narratives., • Assertive Communication: The ability to lead high-level dialogues, manage client expectations, and command respect from internal technical teams and supplier partners., • Initiative: A self-starter who "owns" this space and uses their own initiative to drive results without constant supervision.
