TecSurgery is looking for an experienced Phone & Laptop Repair Technician to join our team in North London Wood Green We are particularly interested in candidates with strong laptop repair and diagnostic experience. The ideal candidate should be confident carrying out Level 2 repairs independently, with good experience repairing laptops, MacBooks, smartphones and tablets. This is primarily a technical workshop role, focused on diagnosing and repairing devices rather than front-desk customer service. Main Responsibilities • Diagnose and repair Windows laptops and MacBooks, • Diagnose no-power, no-display, charging, overheating and performance faults, • Replace laptop screens, keyboards, batteries, fans, hinges, charging ports and other components, • Carry out SSD and RAM upgrades and replacements, • Install and troubleshoot Windows and macOS, • Diagnose and repair smartphones and tablets, • Replace phone screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras and other components, • Carry out soldering work where required, • Diagnose liquid-damaged devices, • Test repaired devices thoroughly before completion, • Record clear diagnostic findings and repair notes, • Maintain a clean and organised workbench, • Manage multiple repairs efficiently Essential Experience • Previous professional experience repairing laptops and mobile devices, • Strong laptop diagnostic skills, • Ability to independently diagnose common hardware faults, • Experience repairing Windows laptops, • Experience repairing MacBooks, • Experience repairing smartphones and tablets, • Good understanding of laptop components and motherboard-related faults, • Confident using diagnostic tools and testing equipment, • Good soldering skills, • Ability to work independently without constant supervision Desirable Skills • Microsoldering experience, • USB-C and charging port replacement, • Motherboard fault diagnosis, • MacBook logic board diagnostics, • Liquid damage repair, • Console repair experience, • Data recovery experience What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is reliable, punctual and technically confident.
