The Role\n This is a varied payroll position where you'll take ownership of complex payroll queries, support monthly payroll processing and work closely with HR and operational teams to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. \n Key responsibilities include: \n\n • Maintaining and updating payroll and HR system data with a high level of accuracy\n, • Investigating and resolving complex payroll queries and calculations\n, • Supporting the monthly payroll process and payroll reconciliation activities\n, • Managing salary overpayments and recovery processes with empathy and professionalism\n, • Producing payroll reports and carrying out regular quality checks\n, • Maintaining absence records and ensuring payroll data integrity\n, • Supporting pension administration and third-party payroll payments\n, • Identifying process improvements and highlighting potential risks\n, • Coaching and supporting colleagues with payroll-related queries\nAbout You\n You'll be an experienced payroll professional who enjoys solving problems, working with large volumes of data and delivering an excellent service to internal stakeholders. \n We're looking for someone with: \n\n • Previous payroll experience within a complex, high-volume environment\n, • Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and compliance\n, • Intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and IF functions\n, • Experience working across multiple terms and conditions or TUPE environments would be advantageous\n, • Experience with MHR iTrent would be beneficial but isn't essential\n, • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach\nWhat's on Offer\n\n, • Salary of £34,000\n, • Hybrid working (1-2 days per week in the Leatherhead office)\n, • Modern office within easy walking distance of the train station\n, • Career development and progression opportunities\n, • Employee discounts across a wide range of retailers and services\n, • Financial wellbeing support, including optional pay advances\n, • Life Assurance\n, • The opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation where your work has a genuine impact\n\n If you're looking to join a collaborative organisation with an outstanding culture and a role where your payroll expertise will be truly valued, we'd love to hear from you. \n Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
