Homekeeping & Companionship Support Worker

We are looking for reliable, caring and friendly people to provide Homekeeping & Everyday Support and Companionship & Community Support to customers in their own homes and local communities. This is a non-medical support role focused on helping people manage everyday life, maintain their independence and stay connected with their community. Duties may include: • Light household cleaning and homekeeping, • Laundry, ironing and changing bed linen, • Home organisation and everyday household tasks, • Meal preparation and shopping support, • Friendly companionship and conversation, • Accompanying customers on walks, outings, shopping trips and appointments, • Supporting customers to take part in activities and access their local community, • Providing practical everyday support based on each customer’s agreed needs Requirements: • Kind, patient, reliable and respectful, • Full UK driving licence and access to your own reliable car, • Willing and able to travel between customers, • Comfortable working independently in customers’ homes and as part of a wider support team, • Good communication skills, • Able to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries, • Right to work in the UK, • Must have an Enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to undergo an appropriate DBS check as part of the recruitment process., • Satisfactory references and right-to-work checks will be required before employment begins., • Willing to complete required training and appropriate pre-employment checks, • Able to follow support plans, risk assessments and company procedures, • Some workers may take a lead role and support or accompany other team members where required Previous experience in support work, companionship, home help, cleaning, community support or a similar role is desirable but not essential for the right person. Terms and Pay: • £13.50 per hour, • Zero-hours contract, • Full-time and part-time opportunities available, • Holiday entitlement/pay in accordance with employment terms and UK requirements, • Business mileage paid for authorised work-related travel This role does not currently involve personal care, nursing or medical treatment. Work Location: March, Chatteris and surrounding areas. Support is provided in customers’ homes and within their local communities.
