Posted Thursday 16 July 2026 at 00:00 | Expires Thursday 30 July 2026 at 23:59 Evri Group is the UK’s premier parcel delivery business, uniting four distinct brands—Evri, Evri Premium, a network of DHL, UK Mail and Irish e-commerce specialist Coll-8—to deliver more than 1 billion parcels and letters annually across the UK and to over 200 global destinations. With 12,000 colleagues, 30,000 couriers and drivers, 8,000 vehicles, and a nationwide network of hubs, depots and fulfilment centres, we combine over 50 years of expertise with the scale and flexibility to support everyone from casual senders to SMEs and major retailers. Driven by our friendly, ambitious and diverse people, we are passionate about delivering exceptional service and offer exciting opportunities across the Evri Group. Contract Type: Permanent - 45 hours weekly Location: Croydon Shift: Nights / Mon-Fri You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old. They’re a joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leather seats and many more optional extras to make sure you’re comfortable. Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9‑hour shifts per day which typically start at 5/6pm. Our well‑organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance where you’ll be driving, taking the stress out of your day. We don’t micromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes. This job involves trunking to regional hubs on the night shift. So, if you like the independence of being out on the open road for long stretches – but also want to be home again at the end of every 9‑hour shift, this is the job for you. You’ll make sure cages, pallets, freight, stowages and boxes get to and from customers bang on time. At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you – at others, you’ll need to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day. You’ll be responsible for inspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a defect report if necessary.
