Soccer Champions Academy is looking for talented, highly energetic and responsible soccer coaches to help run an afterschool program this Fall through June 2025 in the NY area of Harlem. Coaches must have experience playing and teaching the game to young boys 4th and 5th grade ages (8-10 years old). They should also be comfortable managing highly energetic youth. Assistants only need to have playing experience, be highly positive, energetic, and highly engaging in order to help the head coach during each soccer session. If you love playing this game and would like an opportunity to share your soccer skills with young students who may be completely new to soccer, we encourage you to apply. There are also additional opportunities to coach this coming Fall in several schools in the Bronx. Coaching license is not necessary but a big plus for Head coaches. POSITION SUMMARY Nursery Care and Classroom Assistant provides care for infants and toddlers of parents who are on site in adult programming. The ability to communicate fluently (verbal and written) in Spanish and English will be required. The Nursery Care and Classroom Assistant will interface with the parents to meet their child’s individual needs and developmental stages. The Classroom Assistant for Children and Family provides lesson planning, teaching, and support to the Children and Families Faith Formation and Education programs on Sunday mornings. Make sure anything that is left with the baby (car seats, diaper bags and contents, etc.) are labeled and used only for that baby. Provide comfort and stimulation to each baby in accordance with the individual baby’s needs and parent’s requests. Confirm pick up time and the parent’s program location in Trinity Commons or church. Comply with TCWS safety and health policies and procedures. Maintain a hygienic and organized space, and track supply inventory. Work with manager, other staff, and volunteers to prepare and deliver faith formation content and experiences in person with children, ages 3-12, as per direction from the manager. About Us Harlem Grown’s mission is to inspire youth to live healthy and ambitious lives through mentorship and hands-on education in urban farming, sustainability, and nutrition. Harlem Grown operates 13 urban agricultural sites featuring 5 soil-based urban farms, 4 school gardens, 3 hydroponic greenhouses, and a mushroom chamber. All of our sites are located between 122 and 152 Streets in Central Harlem, Manhattan. Since 2021, our programming has served over 10,000 youth in Harlem, we've produced and distributed over 100,000 servings of food, and diverted over 50,000 pounds of food scraps into local compost operations. Our Programs Harlem Grown provides youth and community development programs focused on urban farming, wellness, and sustainability through the lens of racial justice, food justice, social justice, and equity.
