Ice Cream / Crepe Staff - David Protein - New York

The Runner is responsible for assisting the restaurant team of servers and managers with delivering food and beverage to guests as required. They maintain the cleanliness of the expo line, organize the tickets, and communicate effectively with the culinary team. This position has an hourly rate of $17 + Tips. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist with clearing all tables, • Maintain a clean front and back of house area, • Complete knowledge of our menus and drop lines, • Deliver all food and beverage as requested following our standards of service, • Always maintain the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene standards, • Complete understanding of allergens and SOPs regarding the handling of guest's allergies, • Polish and stock equipment for operation (silverware, linens & glassware), • Constant checking, cleaning and maintenance of all Food & Beverage areas, • Replenish side stations throughout service, • Deliver food from kitchen to floor efficiently, • Describe food items presented to guests when necessary, • Serve as the liaison between the service staff and kitchen regarding all food information and special requests, • Work closely with servers and kitchen on the timing of food, • Setting up and closing the expedition station in the kitchen, • Assist in setting up tables properly, • Complete all side work duties per SOPs, including pre-shift, post-shift, daily, weekly and monthly duties, • Always be presentable in uniform, in compliance with outlet standards and punctual, • Ability to work a flexible schedule and late hours when necessary, • All other responsibilities assigned by Management REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS • Willing to work a flexible schedule and holidays, • Positive, engaging, and energetic personality, • Able to be organized, manage time wisely and work with little to no direct supervision, • Very high attention to detail and extensive service knowledge, • Sensitive to cultural nuances, • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English, • Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, fast paced environment, • Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance as per company policies, • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, • Multi-lingual is a plus, • TIPS certified preferred

The Server Assistant maintains all dining room environment and equipment, assists servers, anticipates guests' needs and addresses them accordingly. This position has an hourly rate of $17.00 + Tips. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Check assigned station before, during and after shift for proper set up and cleanliness Responsible for the completion of designated side work checklists (both opening and closing) Responsible for keeping the dining room floors free of debris and spilled liquids, • Bus tables and re-set tables for the next guest. Pick-up clean linen for service and drop off soiled linen for washing to determined area * Always provide excellent service to all our guests, • Assist guests courteously and efficiently, • Maintain the cleanliness of the dining room and station at all times, • Keep chairs and banquettes clean and clear of debris, • Handle customer requests in a timely manner, • Set up side station with sugar bowls, water pitchers, bread, and butter etc. as established in the side work sheet * Ensure all silverware is polished and spotless, • Follow the cleaning program for the restaurant established in the side work sheet, • Upkeep and clear tables between courses throughout the meal, • Delivery of food from kitchen to guest's tables, including tray service, • Assist in setting up tables according to floor plan, • Anticipate guest needs, as to where guests will never have to ask for anything, • Attend all food and beverage training classes when requested, • Wish every guest a warm farewell and thank them for coming, • Must be aware at all times what type of water each guest in their station is drinking, • Make coffee, tea, and hot beverages for guests, • Place all to go food in appropriate containers, • Attend daily pre meal/communication meeting, • Attend monthly department meeting, • Communicate with all servers and server assistants in a professional manner, • All other responsibilities assigned by Management REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language, • Willing to work a flexible schedule and holidays, • Be a self-motivator and motivator of others, • Work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner, • Have good knowledge of food and beverage preparations, • Be able to relate to all levels of guests and management, • Have the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time, • Have excellent communication and organization skills, • Maintain a clean and healthy personal hygiene and grooming, • Be able to consistently delight and satisfy our guest, • Have the ability to handle guest requests in a detailed manner, • TIPS and ServSafe Certified

The Server maintains all dining room environments and equipment. The AM Server is responsible for ensuring the dining room is clean and tidy, assisting guests when they have questions about the menus/wine list, taking guests' orders, anticipating guests' needs and addressing them accordingly. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Review menu for changes and specials Always provide excellent service to all of our guests Review your workstation and your mise en place, make sure all is up to par before you start your shift Set tables and stations up to company standards Keep the dining room and workstation clean and organized, ensure that all silverware and glasses are wiped and spotless Take guest food and beverage orders Extensive knowledge of food and beverage to service and up-sell our product, including liquors and cocktails Review soigne/cheat sheet before approaching the table Mark tables appropriately to food order for each course Always confirm order with the guest and double check accuracy of order before sending to the kitchen Follow SOP's on placing orders with allergies and dietary restrictions Set up tables according to hosts' communication Enter all sales in POS without errors.
