The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of general liability and be adept at handling complex insurance defense cases. This full-time position requires a detail-oriented professional who can provide sound legal advice, represent our clients in court, and contribute to the team's overall success. Why join us? As an Insurance Defense Attorney, you will be expected to: 1. Handle a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through trial., 2. Conduct legal research and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations in legal issues and court cases., 3. Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, appeals, and contracts., 4. Represent our clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litigation., 5. Engage in negotiation and mediation processes to resolve disputes outside of court., 6. Provide legal advice to clients on their legal rights and obligations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations., 7. Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases., 8. Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about the status of their cases., 9. Collaborate with a team of legal professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients. Job Details The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications: 1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school., 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, with a focus on general liability., 3. Admitted to practice law in the state and in good standing with the state bar., 4. Proven track record of representing clients in court and achieving successful outcomes., 5. Exceptional research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and formulate effective legal strategies., 6. Excellent negotiation and mediation skills., 7. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex legal information to clients and other stakeholders., 8. High level of professionalism and ethical standards., 9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple cases and meeting tight deadlines.
