Work Environment\n This role offers the unique advantage of a fully remote setting, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while providing vital support to patients via telehealth services. Our team operates Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs. You will be using advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems to document interactions and treatment plans, ensuring efficient workflow and patient care. Key Responsibilities\n\n • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate patients' histories and treatment needs, tailoring each assessment to inform individualized treatment plans.\n, • Design and implement customized therapeutic plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery, resilience-building, and long-term mental health stability.\n, • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group therapy modalities.\n, • Lead and guide individual and group therapy sessions focused on helping patients process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and foster resilience.\n, • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and other health professionals, to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.\n, • Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, maintaining a calm and composed presence for clients in distress.\n, • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to empower them in managing their mental health journeys.\n, • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with relevant legal and ethical standards, using EHR systems effectively.\n, • Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance skills in trauma-informed care.\n, • Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in the field of trauma therapy to ensure high-quality care delivery.\nPatient Population / Client Focus\n Our primary focus at Helping Hands Counseling Services is to support individuals who have experienced trauma, particularly those suffering from PTSD and related conditions. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, and you will have the opportunity to work with adults and adolescents facing a variety of challenges stemming from traumatic experiences. Your expertise will be vital in helping these individuals embark on their healing journeys, foster resilience, and build healthier coping mechanisms. Qualifications\n\n • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.\n, • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.\n, • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting is preferred, particularly involving trauma-related disorders and therapies.\n, • A strong understanding of trauma-related conditions and trauma-informed treatment practices.\n, • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.\n, • Proficient in handling high-stress scenarios with a calm and collected demeanor, while maintaining client engagement and trust.\n, • Competency with electronic health record systems and other computer applications related to clinical documentation.\n, • A collaborative team player, capable of working in a multidisciplinary environment to enhance patient care.\nPreferred Experience\n\n, • Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions in both individual and group settings.\n, • Previous work within telehealth or remote therapy environments is an advantage.\n, • Knowledge of resilience-building frameworks and an established rapport with community resources for clients.\nCompensation and Benefits\n The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to USD 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
