PROGRAM BACKGROUND: Admission to the RISE program will be determined by Family Court recommendation when incarceration is deemed to be too restrictive of a setting. This approach will be utilized for adjudicated delinquent youth who are 16 and 17-years old at the time of committing the offense. The MercyFirst RISE program will serve up to ten male and four female youth, residing in designated cottages on the Syosset campus. SUMMARY: Under the Supervision of the Sr. Director of Long Island Residential Programs, the Aftercare Caseworker will provide the youth and their family with continued casework support in the home after discharge, up until the youth's placement order expires, to ensure successful reintegration into the community and in the home. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • MSW or Masters in related field., • Prior experience working with adolescents required, prior experience with at risk youth strongly preferred., • Prior Casework experience required.
