Job DescriptionPhlebotomist Patient Services Representative – 1st ShiftAlternate/Related Job Titles: • Phlebotomy Technician, • Patient Services Phlebotomist, • Position Type: Contract, • Contract Duration: 3 months, • Start: As Soon As Possible, • Pay Rate: $17–21/hrJob Summary:The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) provides high-quality phlebotomy and specimen processing services for patients seeking routine or essential diagnostic testing. This role draws accurate blood specimens, supports patient comfort, ensures compliance with clinical procedures, and maintains documentation and workflow accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment.Key Responsibilities:, • Collect blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures., • Maintain a clean, professional, and safe patient environment., • Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collections confidently and accurately., • Maintain logs, records, and documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy., • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive experience for patients, staff, and clients., • Work independently with minimal onsite supervision., • Perform phlebotomy procedures across diverse patient populations including pediatric and geriatric., • Support scheduling needs including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts as required.Required Experience:, • Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience., • Keyboard/data entry experience required., • Customer service background preferred.Nice-to-Have Experience:, • 1+ years phlebotomy experience., • Experience in high-volume clinical or retail customer service environments.Required Skills:, • Strong phlebotomy skills (pediatric & geriatric)., • Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments., • High accuracy and attention to detail.Preferred Skills:, • Strong communication and patient service abilities., • Ability to manage multiple priorities., • Professionalism and reliability.Additional Skills from Original Description:, • Consistent adherence to clinical procedures and confidentiality, • Ability to promote patient trust and comfort, • Process excellence and organizational commitmentRequired Education:, • High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)., • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred., • Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in CA, NV, WA; not required in NY).Work Environment & Schedule:, • Alternating week schedule:, • A Schedule: M–F 6:00 AM–1:00 PM; Sat 6:00 AM–12:00 PM, • B Schedule: M–F 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, • Onsite only; no remote eligibility, • Not a hospital site; no additional credentialing, • COVID vaccination not required, • Federal Contract Work: No, • Temp Justification: Maternity leave coverageBenefits:, • Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans We are a Native American-owned, economically disadvantaged corporation that highly values diverse and inclusive workplaces.
