Job Description Job Title: Technician (Licensed Journeyman Electrician Nationwide Travel) Job Description This role involves installing specialized electrical and mechanical equipment at military bases across the country, primarily within fueling departments. You will work in classified hazardous locations, handle 3-phase systems, and support multiple departments when project deadlines require it. The position requires frequent travel across the United States and a strong no job is too small mentality. Responsibilities • Install electrical and related equipment at military bases across the United States, primarily within fueling departments., • Work in Class I, Division 1 and Division 2 hazardous locations in compliance with all applicable codes and safety standards., • Install, terminate, and test 3-phase motors and associated electrical components., • Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to complete installations accurately., • Lay out, bend, and install conduit, including running and securing wiring according to project specifications., • Use meters and other test equipment to verify proper operation, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system integrity., • Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems, controls, and equipment in industrial and field service environments., • Assist other departments and teams with their scope of work when project timelines or workloads require additional support., • Follow established procedures for field service work, including documentation, reporting, and adherence to safety protocols., • Maintain a professional presence on military bases and adhere to all site-specific rules, regulations, and security requirements., • Support construction and installation activities from start to finish, ensuring work meets quality and compliance standards., • Demonstrate a flexible, team-oriented approach and a willingness to take on tasks of varying size and complexity. Essential Skills • Licensed Journeyman Electrician credential (required)., • Ability and willingness to travel extensively across the United States for field assignments., • Hands-on experience working with 3-phase motors and industrial electrical systems., • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues in construction, industrial, and field service environments., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation., • Experience installing and working with conduit, including layout, bending, and wiring., • Skilled in using electrical meters and test equipment for installation, verification, and diagnostics., • Experience working in hazardous locations such as Class I, Division 1 and Division 2 environments., • Comfort working on active military bases and following strict safety and security protocols.Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of El Paso, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
