Job DescriptionJob Title: Mechanical Inspector Job Description As a Mechanical Inspector, you will be responsible for performing in-process and first-piece inspections, ensuring all manufactured parts adhere to customer requirements and procedures. You will run programs, cross-reference engineering drawings, and complete assigned work within given timeframes and specifications. Following instructions from your supervisor, you will adhere to all company safety regulations, including those related to machine operation, and cooperate with other employees to maintain a safe working environment. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in your assigned work area is essential, along with performing other duties as assigned. Responsibilities • Perform in-process and first-piece inspection., • Run programs and cross-reference engineering drawings., • Ensure all manufactured parts adhere to customer requirements and procedures., • Complete assigned work within given timeframe and specifications., • Follow instructions from supervisor., • Adhere to all company safety regulations, including machine operation., • Cooperate with other employees to maintain a safe working environment., • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area., • Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills, • 3 years of inspection experience., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints., • Proficiency with micrometer and caliper., • Experience in mechanical inspection and first article inspection.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience in fabricating and inspecting forming sheet metal and welding., • Aerospace background is a significant advantage.Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is set in a production environment where you will inspect racks and paint on cabinets intended for server IT rooms. The position is available for the 1st shift from 7am to 3:30pm and the 2nd shift from 3:30pm to midnight. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmingdale, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
