Job DescriptionDescription: Job Summary Reporting to the Farm Store Manager, this role is responsible for welcoming visitors to Glynwood’s farm store, giving them access to the varied bounty of the region and educating them on the work that Glynwood is doing to change the food system. The role involves all aspects of operating the farm store including point of sale, inventory, ordering and staffing. Essential Job Duties Farm Store Operations Management • Manage Glynwood's onsite Farm Store including inventory management, merchandising, purchasing, retailing, sales, as well as POS systems., • Proven excellence in customer service and retail operations; able to support both guest experience and store operations., • Manage Glynwood’s online farm store including inventory, order processing and fulfillment and customer communication., • Responsible for tracking and reporting of Farm Store revenue and social enterprise metrics, • Strategize with the Farm Store Manager to curate products in alignment with the Glynwood Farm Store purchasing philosophy and Regional Food Program priorities, • Coordinate Grain & Staples CSA sales and share distributions., • Work with Grain & Staples Team to grow the category and support operations; (non-farm store inventory, assist with co-packing and labeling)., • Manager relationships with food access partners, maintaining food donation records, and submit invoices., • Coordinate with Livestock Manager to manage the meat inventory system, stock Glynwood meat and eggs in retail freezers, and fulfill online meat orders., • Support the farm and communications team to create and update the marketing plan for Glynwood's products Outreach & Education • Represent Glynwood at regional outreach events related to our mission, programs, and products as needed., • Act as Glynwood’s Ambassador by communicating with visitors, constituents and supporters., • Support organization wide events such as Auction, Benefit Picnic, etc, • Provide applicable content for use in communications Requirements: Competencies • Food Retail including POS and inventory management, • Proficient in Google Suite, • Excellent customer service skills Work Environment & Physical Demands • Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly., • Work will be primarily located indoors. Required Education and Experience • 1 year of retail management, • 3 years of customer facing excellence Supervisory Responsibility • Farm Store Assistants, • Apprentices, Glynwood Team who are working in the Farm Store Compensation/Benefits • $25.96 - $28.85 per hour (DOE), • Benefits: Company paid medical, vision, short-term disability and life insurance., • Paid time off to include: vacation, sick, holidays, float and birthday., • 30% discount on farm store products
