Job Description Gastroenterologist Compensation: $375,000 - $475,000 per year Job Type: Flexible hours, Monday–Friday, No call. A well-established, physician-led group located in Nassau County, Long Island, is currently seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to become part of their growing team. This practice has built a stellar reputation for clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Key Responsibilities: • Serve as a key clinical provider in the delivery of high-quality, comprehensive gastroenterology care., • Conduct detailed clinical assessments, including thorough history taking, physical exams, and the interpretation of diagnostic data such as labs, imaging, and pathology reports., • Outpatient-focused role within a supportive, multi-specialty group, managing a high-volume, diverse patient population and a full-scope GI practice., • Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, including IBD, IBS, liver disease, motility disorders, and biliary tract diseases., • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating both pharmacological interventions and lifestyle modifications., • Perform and interpret screening and diagnostic procedures (such as colonoscopies and EGDs) to ensure early detection and management of GI pathologies., • Maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) to support clinical workflow and patient safety., • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary care teams, including colorectal surgeons, oncologists, and primary care providers., • Promote preventive health strategies, specifically emphasizing colorectal cancer screening and chronic liver disease management., • Participate in ongoing medical education and clinical practice improvement efforts to maintain the highest standards of GI care. Qualifications: • Active Board Certification (or Board Eligibility with a clear path to certification) in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology., • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New York State., • Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills., • Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach to care., • Familiarity with EMRs and value-based care metrics is a plus., • Highly competitive salary and benefits, • Collaborative, professionally fulfilling work environment with strong clinical and administrative support.
