Job Summary: As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of exceptional patient care. In this position, you will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to assist healthcare professionals and ensure the smooth operation of the healthcare facility. Key Responsibilities: • Perform basic clinical duties, such as taking vital signs, administering injections, and assisting with minor medical procedures- Manage patient records, including scheduling appointments, maintaining electronic medical records, and coordinating with insurance providers- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing their questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient care- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and infection control protocols Minimum Qualifications: • REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent, • REQUIRED: Certified Medical Assistant certification or diploma from an accredited program/national certifying organization (AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT or NHA), • Minimum 6 months of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a medical office or clinic, • Must attend competency training to ensure proficiency in all practice category specific tasks including, but not limited to, taking vital signs, medication and vaccine administration, collection of labs/x-ray reports, TB skin testing, wound care and dressing change and other specific clinical functions (EKG, phlebotomy, etc.), • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team, • Proficient in electronic medical record systems (EPIC is a plus) and other healthcare-related software in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and all local, state, and federal regulations, • Schedule patient appointments, • Verify patient insurance coverages and patient demographics, • Prepare patient rooms, set up instruments and equipment according to departmental protocol, room patients and prepare for examinations, • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, • Compassionate and dedicated to providing high-quality patient careRequired Certifications:, • Certified Medical Assistant
