Job Description JOB DEFINITION: Charged with the oversight of the day-to-day appointments and functioning of the exam rooms on the RV and Box Truck, providing support operations to the prescriber in accordance with all regulatory and governing agencies. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: • A certificate or associate's degree in medical assisting required., • Phlebotomy Certificate, • High School diploma or equivalent required. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Proficient in clinical skills, creating a safe and effective environment, health promotion and maintenance, procedural skills, documentation skills, strong verbal and written communication, inventory control, planning, dependability, and medical teamwork. Significant computer experience required, experience with an E.H.R./computer skill (i.e., Microsoft Office knowledge, ability to use Word, Outlook, Excel etc.) and an ability to utilize and navigate databases (i.e., I-STOP). Ability to perform phlebotomy. Co-occurring disorder experience a plus. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage the day-to-day appointments and functioning of the exam rooms to ensure a safe, secure and healthy work environment in conformance with program objectives, agency policies and procedures, and compliance with regulatory funding, governing bodies and legal regulations., • Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping patient care information confidential in accordance to HIPAA and other governing bodies., • Oversee functioning and maintenance of the exam rooms which impact on the quality and productivity of the program., • Responsible preparing clients for their visit as needed., • Responsible for confirming purpose of the appointment, completing vital signs, obtaining patient history, ensuring files are up to date and accurate in the E.H.R., completing Brief Medical Screening, preparing medical charts etc. Responsible for providing information, instructions and answering questions in accordance to prescriber education for the patient., • Support patient care delivery by helping health care providers by carrying out and tracking the authorization of drug refills as directed; telephoning prescriptions to pharmacies; managing lab work and follow up for results; assisting to complete drug tests (including supervised drug tests when clinically indicated) and ensure processing, with follow up to receive results., • Responsible for administrative duties including but not limited to confirming appointments, completing and following up on prior authorizations, managing supply stock and placing orders as needed, following up on lab work results for clients and implementing tracking systems as needed., • Responsible for updating the patient chart in the EHR, i.e., recording patient's exam, test results, treatment etc., • Facilitate sharing of data with the individuals to whom it applies to facilitate partnered decision-making and to keep clients informed of progress, • Complete QI Training during onboarding and participate in QI refresher training as needed., • Ability to cultivate a culture of inclusion for all employees that respects their individual strengths, views and experiences. Job DescriptionDescription: Advanced Dermatology, PC is searching for an experienced Peri-Operative Registered Nurse to join our Medical Practice on a Per Diem basis. Duties: • Verify the patient has followed preoperative instructions and ensures belongings are securely stored or given to their escort., • Obtain baseline vital signs, pain assessment, and ECG monitoring if needed, and notify relevant staff of abnormal values., • Review the medical record for H&P, allergies, signed consent, and lab results., • Validate the patient's procedure and site and take photos for patient’s chart., • Administer preoperative medications, as ordered by Surgeon., • Provide post-anesthesia care to patients; monitoring patients' vital signs and assessing their condition after surgery ensuring their comfort and safety., • Educate patients and their families on post-operative care instructions and discharge., • Document patient information, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes., • Ability to scrub in and/or circulate on surgical cases as needed., • Maintain supply levels, assist with ordering and check expiration dates., • Familiarize yourself with the location and usage of all equipment and supplies, especially emergency items, and keep all areas clean and organized., • Maintain asepsis, infection control, and safety practices to minimize infections., • Sterilization and processing of surgical instruments and the OR environment., • Follow all Center policies and procedures., • Adjust to the director of nursing's schedule, including overtime or time changes., • Be willing to cross-train and assist in other departments when required., • Ability to travel to multiple sites as required., • Current New York License as Registered Nurse, • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in acute care, inpatient and/or surgical setting, • Plastic Surgery experience a plus, • Current BLS and ACLS REQUIRED, • Proficient with patient assessment, monitoring, and management of emergency situations, • Knowledge of post-operative care protocols and pain management techniques, • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members *Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
