The HVAC Lead Installer is responsible for leading, managing, and executing the installation of diverse HVAC and oil equipment on residential and light commercial job sites within a tight local service radius. This role requires daily reporting to the Amityville office, superior quality assurance, and a commitment to coaching junior team members. Responsibilities and Expectations * Lead and manage a team of HVAC and oil equipment installers on all residential and light commercial installation projects. This includes overseeing helpers and ensuring team coordination. * Perform expert-level installations of diverse equipment, including oil heating systems, central A/C units, ductless systems, boilers, and related HVAC components. * Ensure material readiness by verifying that all necessary materials and specialized tools are on the truck and ready for the jobsite. * Ensure quality workmanship by actively supervising installations and guaranteeing all work adheres strictly to company standards and local codes. * Actively foster the growth of junior team members by providing effective training and mentorship. * Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, providing updates and ensuring satisfaction upon project completion. * Collaborate seamlessly with internal departments to coordinate schedules, materials, and project timelines efficiently. Requirements * Extensive, hands-on experience (minimum of 3+ years required, 5+ years preferred) with the installation of HVAC equipment (A/C, boilers, ductless). Oil installation experience is strongly preferred, but NOT a hard requirement. * Proven ability to successfully manage job sites, oversee projects, and guide installation teams. * Must demonstrate high accountability, possess a low ego, be coachable, and maintain a strong communicator approach. * EPA Certification and relevant HVAC licenses are highly preferred for this lead role. * Prior Nexstar training is a huge plus. * High School Diploma or equivalent required. * Must possess a Valid Driver's License and maintain a clean driving record * Must possess an upbeat/positive attitude and be a strong team player. The compensation for this position is expected to between $30.00 to $50.00 per hour based on skills and experience. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Job DescriptionDescription: The Driver role performs dedicated pick-up and delivery in the local area for assigned routes. This position requires a Class A license, 2 years minimum experience operating a tractor/trailer (53' dry van, High Cube, Flatbed), clean DMV (no major at-fault accidents or speeding in commercial vehicles) and current medical card, city driving experience in all weather conditions. Material handling is required. This is a fast-paced, dedicated on-time delivery environment - a sense of urgency and commitment to customer service is a must. Requirements: Responsibilities and Duties: • Keep paperwork and cargo supply organized to facilitate a smooth workflow., • Responsible for occasional route coverage to absence of other drivers., • Load, secure, inspect and fuel before and as necessary during your shift., • Immediately report any problems during route to immediate supervisor., • Assist in helping other drivers during load outs to maintain a safe work environment., • Keep assigned Truck and work area at Terminal organized and clean for safety and efficiency., • Tarp, Strap and Chain (when required) all loads to Federal Cargo Requirements., • Sense of urgency and commitment to customer service., • Ensures that safety requirements are followed by drivers at all times., • Advanced knowledge of DOT rules and regulations, • Route planning for optimal driver and vehicle utilization., • Maintains clear and accurate records and logs., • High school diploma or equivalent, • Strong math & writing skills, • Customer and Quality focused, • Intermediate computer skills, • 2-4 years of experience in the transportation field or any other related industry, • LEAN understanding with the ability to fully execute 5s and 7s, • Understanding of logistics, shipping, receiving and transportation, • Excellent time management, • Great communication and soft skills, • High Sense of accuracy, • Knowledge of inventory control, • Assertive; being able to meet high volume demand, • Able to collaborate with all parties necessary to achieve goals, • Knowledge of handheld RF equipment a plus, • Adherence to all OTT Safety, Quality, ISO, and HR policies and standards
