You know G-code because you learned it, not because a CAM post-processor spat it out and you crossed your fingers. And yet — somewhere along the way — that skill stopped being worth much. You're doing programmer-level work for operator-level respect. Priorities change three times before lunch and nobody tells you why. The machines you're supposed to run at their best haven't been maintained the way they should be. And the "team" you're supposed to lead treats their workstations like someone else's problem. MAC Products is looking for a CNC Programmer who can own the floor from 6:30 AM on — not just push buttons, but run the morning like it's yours. That means: • Reviewing the day's job queue and knowing what's coming before it's a problem, • Prepping fixtures and tooling so machines are ready to run, not waiting on you, • Programming G-code and working in Fusion 360 or MasterCAM to get parts right the first time, • Running first article inspection and quality checks throughout the day — calipers, gauges, micrometers, GD&T, all of it — and working directly with QC to keep it that way, • Partnering with the CNC Manager on priorities, and adapting fast when they shift — breaking down and setting up a new job without losing your rhythm, • Assigning work to Operators and holding them accountable for their own stations, the same way you're accountable for yours, • Handling routine machine maintenance and cleaning so the equipment you rely on doesn't let you down, • Constantly looking for the win — less scrap, tighter cycle times, smarter tooling This isn't a "figure it out as you go" role. We need someone who's already done this — who can walk in and be the steadiest, most capable person on the floor by 6:45 AM. What you bring Must-haves: • 5+ years of CNC programming experience in G-code and a CAM software (Fusion 360 or Mastercam), • Comfort with inspection tools — calipers, gauges, micrometers, • Strong fundamentals in tooling, fixturing, blueprint reading, and GD&T, • Real production experience: minimizing scrap, reducing cycle times, improving tooling and process efficiency, • Ability to program and operate both mill and lathe Nice to have: • Multi-axis programming experience, • Leadership experience — mentoring or overseeing Operators But the bigger shift is this: you stop being the person absorbing everyone else's chaos, and you start being the person the shop is actually built around. A stack of trays on a dolly is approximately 24" - 30" and requires a force of up to 7.5 pounds to push. Trays may also be pulled. Climbing Team members must infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, perform maintenance. During delivery of product, navigation of five or more flights of stairs may be required. Stooping/Bending Forward bending at the waist is necessary at the pizza assembly station. Toe room is present, but workers are unable to flex their knees while standing at this station. Duration of this position is approximately 30 - 45 seconds at one time, repeated continuously during the day. Forward bending is also present at the front counter and when stocking ingredients. Crouching/Squatting Performed occasionally to stock shelves and to clean low areas. Reaching Reaching is performed continuously; up, down and forward. Workers reach above 72" occasionally to turn on/off oven controls, change prices on sign, and lift and lower objects to and from shelves.
