Ahn Construction Group is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to lead commercial and high-end residential renovation projects throughout the NYC and Long Island area. We are a growing general contracting company focused on quality execution, clear communication, strong client relationships, and professional project delivery. Our work includes commercial interiors, offices, banks, restaurants, medical spaces, retail, and select residential projects. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through closeout, overseeing subcontractors and vendors, controlling schedules and budgets, communicating with clients and consultants, and helping strengthen the company’s project management systems as we continue to grow. Responsibilities • Lead construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, • Manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and client communication, • Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, proposals, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation, • Coordinate with architects, engineers, owners, building management, inspectors, and field teams, • Conduct site visits, project meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, and owner updates, • Monitor field progress, quality, safety, and schedule compliance, • Identify project risks early and develop practical solutions, • Lead change order tracking, cost control, procurement, and project reporting, • Manage inspections, punch lists, closeout documentation, and turnover, • Support company leadership in improving processes, templates, software usage, and project execution standards, • Mentor junior staff, coordinators, assistant project managers, and field team members as needed Qualifications • 8+ years of construction project management experience, • Strong experience with commercial interiors, renovations, occupied spaces, or ground-up construction, • Ability to independently manage multiple projects, • Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, budgets, and subcontractor coordination, • Experience managing projects in NYC, Long Island, or the surrounding metro area, • Familiarity with permitting, inspections, DOB coordination, building management requirements, and code-related coordination, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, PDF drawings, and construction management software Preferred but not required • Experience with banks, restaurants, medical offices, retail, office buildouts, or occupied renovations, • Familiarity with Procore, Contractor Foreman, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar software, • Korean language ability is a plus, • Existing subcontractor relationships in NYC / Long Island area, • Experience helping build or improve project management systems for a growing construction company Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is organized, accountable, proactive, and capable of taking full ownership of projects. This person should be able to manage clients professionally, push schedules forward, control costs, resolve field issues, and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants, and internal team members.
