Job Summary: The teacher works to deepen students’ mastery of the English Language through reading, writing, speaking and listening. The teacher is responsible for planning, developing, and delivering instruction to small groups students. The teacher will uphold the school’s mission to ensure that all students receive a world class education. Responsibilities and Duties • Teach a standards- based curriculum that incorporates the New York State English As A Second Language standards and the English Language Arts Standards, • Push-in classroom to differentiate instruction in English Language Arts, • Pull out classroom to provide ESL instruction in small groups., • Develop lesson plans and supplementary materials., • Incorporate the use of technology on an ongoing basis., • Provide interactive and meaningful learning material to students, maintaining positive learning environment for active participation of students, assigning homework, and conduct periodic assessments to measure student growth and progress., • Implement and deliver quality instruction to students that prepare students to pass the NYSESLAT., • Design the curriculum that challenges the learning ability of students and ensure overall development of language., • Engage students in problem solving, critical thinking and other activities that make subject matter meaningful., • Facilitate learning and promote self- directed learning for all students. Pay Transparency: The salary range for this role is $62,500 - $95,000. Base pay offered may vary within the posted range based on several factors, including but not limited to education, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Job DescriptionJob description SUMMARY: The Music Teacher (MT) creates a safe and cool environment for students to achieve their musical and creative potential and insures that each School of Rock student has an exceptional musical journey. In support of that goal, the MT is responsible for all music and education-related elements within the lessons. The MT creates a dynamic lesson experience to ensure their students are challenged and inspired. The MT embodies rock and roll in a positive way and is responsible for creating the most valuable student lesson experience possible. THE GIG: Part Time: Music Instruction: • Maximize the quality of music instruction including private lessons and group lessons for ages 4 to 99, • Be sure the students are learning the fundamentals of music and not just songs, • Create and Document thoughtful lesson plans, • Excellent Customer Service, • Communicate regularly with parents on progress of students after lessons, • Interact with parents and student regularly by being visible and accessible in school., • Pitch in during canceled lessons in the overall executions of the program (e.g. assisting in rehearsals, basic maintenance of school, scheduling)Report to: General Manager/Music Director Candidate Requirements: • 1+ teaching experience.
