Job DescriptionAbout Atlanta Prep: Atlanta Prep is a specialized private school serving approximately 30 students, where each student’s schedule is individualized to meet their unique needs. Our unique model provides 1:1 personalized instruction in ELA and Math, along with small group instruction in other academic areas. In addition, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and ABA services are seamlessly integrated into each student’s daily schedule, creating a cohesive, consistent, and supportive learning experience. Position Overview: Atlanta Prep is seeking a dedicated and patient One-on-One ELA Teacher to provide individualized English Language Arts instruction to students with diverse learning profiles. The ideal candidate will be passionate about literacy instruction, skilled in differentiating instruction, and committed to helping students build confidence and proficiency in reading and writing. Key Responsibilities: • Provide individualized (1:1) ELA instruction tailored to each student’s academic level and learning style, • Develop and implement engaging, student-centered lesson plans focused on reading, writing, and comprehension, • Support foundational literacy skills including phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension, • Break down complex language concepts into manageable, accessible steps, • Collaborate with staff to support student goals, • Track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly, • Maintain a structured, positive, and supportive learning environme Qualifications:, • Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field (required), • Experience working with students with special needs (preferred), • Strong understanding of foundational literacy and language development, • Ability to differentiate instruction and use creative teaching strategies, • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, • Patience, flexibility, and a passion for helping students succeedPreferred Experience:, • Background in special education or ABA environments, • Experience with individualized instruction or tutoring, • Familiarity with structured literacy approaches (preferred but not required) Benefits & Perks:, • Competitive salary ($38,000–$45,000 based on experience), • Less than 200 working days per year, • No IEP writing or case management requirements — allowing you to focus fully on instruction and student growth, • Behavior support provided through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), • Small caseload (fewer than 15 students) for meaningful, individualized instruction, • Shorter workday: approximately 7 hours daily (8:00 AM – 3:00 PM), • Flexible planning time, • 401(k) with employer matching, • Paid Time Off (PTO), • Opportunities for additional summer camp employment, • Parent Appreciation Perks throughout the year, • Supportive, collaborative team environmentSchedule:, • Full-time, aligned with the school calendar (under 200 working days) This job description is intended to accurately reflect the duties, responsibilities, and requirements of the position.
