Job Description Summary: Flowers Communications Group (FCG) is seeking an experienced PR Manager to support local PR and community execution for a recognized global quick service restaurant brand in the Metro Atlanta market. This role is ideal for a strong, hands-on PR professional with deep familiarity and relationships with media across Georgia, including the greater Atlanta area, community, and civic landscapes, who can translate strategy into effective local execution. You will play a critical role in driving earned media, supporting community and government engagement, and elevating local Owner/Operator storytelling across priority moments in 2026. What You’ll Do: Local PR & Media Relations Execution • Lead day-to-day local media relations across Georgia, focusing on DMAs within the client business unit, • Develop story angles, pitching calendars, and media materials aligned to business and reputation priorities, • Drive proactive media outreach, including strategic targeting, customized pitching and thoughtful follow-up to secure quality coverage across print, digital and broadcast media, • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and regional reporters, editors, and producers, • Support spokesperson preparation and staff local interviews for Owner/Operators and leadership, • Provide on-site media management support at activations across the state, • Troubleshoot media relations issues as they arise (e.g., misinformation, unfavorable framing etc.), recommending response options and coordinating with senior team members on resolution., • Work closely with cross functional team members to align media relations efforts with local campaigns, community programs, and in-store activations. Community & Stakeholder Engagement • Support community and civic engagement efforts tied to economic impact, workforce, and local relevance, • Coordinate with community organizations, business groups, and local partners as needed, • Assist with planning and execution of local events, briefings, and community moments Social Media & Influencer Management • Develop and execute social media strategies across platforms including Facebook and emerging channels to drive brand awareness, engagement, and growth., • Own the day-to-day management of brand social channels, including content planning, publishing, community management, and real-time engagement., • Lead influencer partnership strategy from end to end—identifying, vetting, contracting, and managing creators aligned with brand values and campaign goals., • Oversee content development including briefing creators, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring all content meets brand guidelines. Account Management & Coordination • Partner closely with the Senior Account Director to execute approved strategies and plans, • Manage timelines, deliverables, and executional workflows, • Coordinate with internal subject matter experts (media, paid amplification, creative), • Ensure consistent execution and responsiveness across all local initiatives, • Attend and support client meetings Reporting & Optimization • Track media coverage, engagement, and KPIs, • Track, analyze, and report on social and influencer performance, providing insights and recommendations to optimize future campaigns., • Support reporting and insights tied to reputation and business outcomes by developing clear, insight-driven PR recaps and reports that highlight results, message penetration, BU penetration, sentiment and optimization recommendations, • Surface local opportunities, risks, and emerging issues proactively Qualifications: Experience & Expertise • 5–7 years of public relations or communications experience (agency or in-house), • QSR experience is a plus, • Strong experience with local media relations in Atlanta or similar major DMA, • Familiarity with community, civic, or government-facing communications a plus, • Experience supporting large, matrixed brands preferred Leadership & Competencies • Local Fluency: Strong understanding of Atlanta’s media and community ecosystem, • Executional Excellence: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven, • Relationship Builder: Trusted, professional presence with media and partners, • Judgment & Responsiveness: Able to move quickly and thoughtfully in dynamic environments, • Collaboration: Works effectively across teams and disciplines Tools & Systems • Experience with media monitoring and reporting tools, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, • Familiarity with project management platforms preferred Work Environment: This role is hybrid, with a mix of remote work and local market engagement across Metro Atlanta. Evening or weekend availability may be required based on events or media opportunities.
