Provide professional services in support of unit management in field as specified in the particular job posting. Focus will be in a professional field such as Communications, Marketing, Customer Service, Academic Administration, Event Management, Procurement, etc. Specific duties will be determined based on assignment and unit needs. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: unit management and staffThis position typically will advise and counsel: unit management and staffThis position will supervise: NA Job Duty 1 - Provide interim leadership and oversight for administrative staff, ensuring daily operations continue smoothly during the temporary assignment; Support onboarding and training of temporary staff or student workers as needed. Job Duty 2 - Coordinate and prioritize workflow across the administrative team to maintain timely, accurate service delivery; Serve as a point of escalation for operational questions, issues, or process bottlenecks. Job Duty 3 - Plan and execute meetings and events. Job Duty 4 - Oversee scheduling, meeting logistics, event coordination, and general office support functions; Monitor inboxes, requests, and service queues to maintain consistent response times and followthrough. Job Duty 5 - Manage purchasing, travel, reimbursements, and other routine business operations to ensure continuity; Assist with document preparation, communications, and other administrative tasks requiring timely attention. Job Duty 6 - Perform additional duties as assigned Educational Requirements Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Experience Up to two years of job related experience • Experience supervising or leading administrative staff, including delegating tasks, monitoring workload, and supporting performance., • Prior responsibility for coordinating office operations such as scheduling, event logistics, and service delivery., • Prior experience with event management, • Experience serving as a point of escalation or problemsolver for operational issues., • Ability to coach and support administrative team members during periods of transition or change., • Proficiency with business systems such as Workday, Concur, or similar platforms, • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced administrative environment. The Administrative Manager will oversee daily administrative operations, monitor service levels, and ensure consistent, highquality support for faculty, staff, students, and leadership. The role will also collaborate with internal stakeholders such as HR, finance, facilities, IT, and central offices to coordinate administrative needs, update leadership, and implement interim process improvements to address workflow gaps as needed. This is a temporary position with an anticipated duration of up to eight months.
