Job Description About Club OODAZU Club OODAZU is a first-of-its-kind family sports and enrichment facility in Decatur, GA — offering youth and adult sports, S.T.E.A.M. programs, camps, parties, and more. This is our newest concept and part of the OODAZU family — the premier, multi-location destination for children’s play, parties, camp, and retail experiences. We are looking for an early-career Operations Manager ready to take the next step into a full management role. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will gain experience across all areas of facility operations — from scheduling and staffing to guest service and event execution — with the opportunity to grow into a senior leadership role as OODAZU continues to expand. Schedule This is an on-site role with an expected weekly commitment of 45–50 hours: • Wednesday–Friday: 12 PM – 9 PM, • Saturday & Sunday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM Key Responsibilities Facility Operations & Scheduling You will take on full operational responsibility while receiving mentorship from the General Manager — learning how to run a multi-sport, family-focused facility from the ground up. • Oversee daily logistics, including opening/closing procedures, staff scheduling, scheduling of courts, turf, and batting cages, ensuring smooth transitions between programs, rentals, and events, • Personally assist with equipment setup/teardown and step in as needed to keep programming on schedule, • Implement & maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain OODAZU’s high standards for cleanliness, safety, and guest service, • Lead a culture of exceptional hospitality — greeting families, answering questions, and modeling high-touch customer service, • Be a visible, approachable presence at the front desk, stepping in during peak hours to assist with check-ins and direct customer traffic, • Resolve customer concerns quickly, using a hands-on approach to maintain a positive experience, • Recruit, onboard, train & manage part-time staff for front desk, maintenance, and café operations, • Build weekly staff schedules and fill in on shifts when coverage is needed, • Work side-by-side with team members during busy periods, modeling best practices and supporting their success, • Provide on-the-ground coaching and feedback to maintain performance standards, • Create daily task plans for all staff members to ensure all required tasks are completed, • Oversee daily cleaning and upkeep of courts, turf, bathrooms, common areas, and café, • Roll up your sleeves to help with cleaning, restocking, or minor fixes to ensure the facility always looks its best, • Coordinate with vendors and manage inventory for supplies and merchandise, maintenance, office, first aid, and staff uniforms, • Manage café operations, including inventory, food safety compliance, and staffing, • Jump behind the counter when needed to keep service moving during busy times, • Remain responsive on “OFF” days and be flexible for last-minute needs or disruptions, including but not limited to:, • staff shortages,, • urgent facility or maintenance issues,, • customer service escalations,, • vendor delivery problems,, • technology malfunctions, or, • Maintain a safe and secure environment by enforcing facility rules, monitoring for hazards, and ensuring waiver compliance, • Act as the operational point person for leagues, tournaments, parties, and events, • Assist with registration system setup, roster management, and daily reports, • Track attendance and provide weekly operational updates to GM, • Maintain organized records for staff onboarding and compliance, • Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000 annually (based on experience; growth potential as role & company expand), • Bonuses: Performance-based opportunities tied to results & KPI’s, • Benefits:, • Paid time off: 2 weeks of PTO annually to recharge and reset, • Complimentary access for employee & family to Club OODAZU amenities, • A high-energy, can-do attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed, • Early-career professional with a desire to grow into a senior operations leadership role, • Ability to lead teams while working shoulder-to-shoulder with them when needed, • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through, • Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with staff, parents, and vendors, • Comfortable with technology — able to manage registration systems and scheduling software (training will be provided), • Experience supervising staff and working in family-oriented or youth-serving environments, • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain), • Ability to lift / operate heavy sports equipment (such as basketball hoops, volleyball carts, soccer goals, etc.), and be on your feet for extended periods of time, • Ability to work evenings and weekends consistently, • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between locations and / or to source required supplies
