Primary Focus: Seeking an Estimator for environmental remediation and construction projects. The successful candidate will be an experienced and highly organized professional with a strong background in estimating and excellent verbal and written communication skills. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and managing complex, high-value bids across multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities include driving cost efficiencies and ensuring all proposals reflect a commitment to technical excellence, quality, and profitability. This is a critical position with significant impact on project success, client satisfaction, and overall financial performance. The ideal candidate is forward-thinking, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external clients. What You’ll Be Responsible For: • Prepare, review, and finalize estimates and bids for construction and service business units prior to submission to customers. All estimates over $300,000 or below budgeted gross profit targets require ownership signoff before submission., • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support accurate bid preparation and evaluation, improving both profitability and overall win rates. Participate in regular estimating meetings to review the status of open bids and ensure appropriate estimating methods and resources are being applied., • Review preliminary schedules, indirect costs, staffing, and execution plans with a strong understanding of company policies related to project cash flow, ensuring billing schedules and cash flow projections meet requirements., • Maintain CRM systems by ensuring new customers are added, bid logs are accurate, and bid results and feedback are properly documented, while serving as a point of contact for select customers and clients., • Coordinate estimating handoff meetings for awarded projects to support a smooth transition to the construction or service team. Follow up with customers and clients regarding submitted estimates as needed., • Obtain pricing from vendors and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and services, and provide input on resolving project document gaps, including scope clarifications, risk identification, and pricing considerations., • Support continuous improvement efforts by assisting in the development of estimating processes and procedures, including the use of historical data to refine unit costs and labor estimates., • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity, maintaining strict confidentiality of company and client information at all times. Our Ideal Candidate: • Can visualize the finished product from drawings and other documents provided to support their ability to manage and generate project estimates for projects ranging from $25,000 up to $5,000,000., • Must have strong understanding of material costing and be familiar with Cost Estimating Software, • Is a team player who can manage a team, successfully complete their job duties and meet deadlines., • Delegates work to ensure deadlines are met, efficiency is optimized, and decision-making is swift., • Proficient with MS Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Excel., • Is comfortable influencing decisions on which projects to pursue., • Will thrive in a fast-paced, multi-project environment with high expectations and defined outcomes., • Is a concise communicator who can manage inside and outside of the organization and readily collaborate to solve complex issues.
