Job Description As an Intermodal Dispatcher, you will manage and coordinate the logistics of transporting containers across multiple transportation modes. You are crucial in ensuring that shipments are delivered on time, efficiently and cost effectively. Key Responsibilities: Container Coordination: • Schedule and manage the pick-up and delivery of intermodal containers., • Oversee the flow of containers between truck, rail, and shipping terminals., • Plan and optimize routes for timely and cost-effective transportation., • Act as the central point of contact for drivers., • Provide real-time updates on container statuses to clients and internal teams., • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding intermodal transport., • Track the location of containers and update customers on estimated delivery times., • Use GPS, software systems, and other tools to monitor and document container status in real-time., • Address logistical challenges such as delays, route disruptions, or capacity issues., • Maintain accurate records of all dispatches, including container movements, delays, and operational details. Education: • High School diploma or equivalent required., • Minimum two years’ experience in logistics, dispatching, or transportation management., • Ability to quickly access situations and make decisions to keep operations on track., • Strong organizational and multitasking skills., • Proficiency with transportation management software (TMS), GPS, and tracking systems., • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)., • Ability to juggle multiple shipments, issues, and routes simultaneously., • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills., • Ability to work under pressure and handle fast-paced situations.Company DescriptionFounded in 1983, LMD Integrated has set the benchmark in the logistics industry, consistently delivering excellence in customer service and innovative solutions.
