We are currently seeking a Hygiene Coordinator to infuse new energy into our Hygiene and Front Desk teams. We will train you to become a great Hygiene Coordinator and our (very unique) Global Training program allows you to see how/what all departments do to support you in your role. Some of our Hygiene Coordinators have moved into rolls such as Front Desk Team Leads, Hygiene Coordinator Team Leads, Insurance Coordinators or even Practice Administrators. We give plenty of support and were with you every step of the way! You start our BDC journey with a 15 day Global Training and your own Ambassador to walk you thru it all. Our intention during the beginning days is to introduce you to BDC's entire service, culture mindset and give you customized and or individualized training needed to master your roll as a Hygiene Coordinator. What we will ask of you: Commitment to Babylon Dental Care and the patients we serve. Teamwork and a willingness to learn every day! This role can be your stepping stone to success and professional growth within our practice! The skys the limit! The purpose of the Hygiene Coordinator position is to efficiently and effectively manage the hygiene department's schedule to ensure patient satisfaction and practice profitability. Our Hygiene and Front Desk departments are very busy so we need someone who is: • Reliable and team orientated., • Out of the box thinker and collaborative to support our growth., • Empathic and compassionate., • High level of professional presence., • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment., • Open to learn all about technologies that will enhance our patient care and service., • Self motivated, takes initiative without constant direction. Knowledge of Dentrix Ascend (or other dental software) would be helpful in setting you up for success, but not mandatory. Ability and open to learn our dental software. Heres an example of what a Hygiene Coordinator might do in a day: • Educate our patients about the details of their treatment plan and associated fees after our Hygienist has diagnosed and reviewed their options with them. You potentially clarify what the patient may have heard or "think" they heard., • Help patients understand their dental insurance benefits. This is in collaboration with our Dental Insurance team who are readily available to assist you. Accurately calculate how much insurance will pay for the cost of their needed care. Review with patients their financial responsibility based on any Insurance pre-determinations., • "Check out" any Hygiene patients or dental patients to assist front desk., • Work with outside patient care financing companies to give our patients a wide range of financial options. Be confirmable to help our patients know the differences between the companies., • Send Pre-determinations to Patient's Insurance companies. Keeping an eye on their timely return to move forward with patient's care., • Collaborate with our financial team to address and collect patient balances when they are set to return to the Practice for care., • Ability to respond to live chats or website leads as they may come thru during the day. Making those calls timely., • Comfortable with keeping up to date with email communications as the day goes on., • In a professional manner being able to hold space for anxious patients during the check out process, as well as, being their advocate to properly explain their financial responsibilities., • Answer incoming calls when appropriate, not with a patient, as calls may come thru our Call Center., • Correctly schedule future appointments for patients checking out to ensure doctors and hygienists are focusing on caring for our patients. Ensuring patient's are scheduled with the future time needed for their treatment., • Answer treatment questions patients have both before and after their visit., • With an attentive eye working daily on the Hygiene schedule making sure when last minute cancellations happen, we find another patient to move into the appointment slot now available. Manage the hygiene schedule according to our appointment scheduling guidelines to ensure all hours are scheduled efficiently and to reach daily hourly or daily goals., • Mentoring new team members when comfortable and can create value., • Follow up via email or text with patients who havent scheduled their treatment yet., • Ensuring our payment policy is being honored when patients are scheduled., • Comfortable to ask a happy patient to share their feedback online in a review, or refer a friend to the Practice if they know anyone looking for a new dental home. Proudly sharing our service with others., • Work collaboratively with the entire Practice to meet or exceed monthly goals so all can receive their check exercise bonus!, • Generate and review reports, when directed to further develop BDC's growth., • Monitor treatment plans and case acceptance, when directed to further support our Hygienists are meeting their hourly production goals., • Confirm all Hygiene appointments., • 5 or more years experience in a dental front desk or insurance position. Hygiene experience also welcome!, • Flexibility in regards to scheduling. Our office is open 6 days a week, including early morning, late evenings, and some holidays. Most Hygiene Coordinators work every other Saturday., • Experience providing exceptional hospitality-inspired customer service in a fast-paced Practice., • Excellent attention to detail and high follow thru., • The ability to calculate percentages accurately and quickly using basic math skills. Comfortability in both., • A positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude.
