Plant Manager – Biomethane Plant Location: Villaluenga, Spain We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead the operations of a biomethane facility processing 150,000 tonnes per year. Reporting to the Operations Director – Spain, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall operational, financial, safety, and performance management of the plant, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant operations while driving continuous improvement and profitability. Key Responsibilities • Lead the day-to-day operation of the biomethane plant, ensuring optimal production performance and regulatory compliance., • Manage the plant's P&L, budgets, cost control, forecasting, and operational performance., • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards., • Lead and coordinate plant personnel, contractors, and service providers., • Drive operational excellence through KPI monitoring, performance improvement initiatives, and efficiency optimization., • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize plant availability., • Coordinate feedstock, logistics, utilities, inventory management, and digestate operations., • Supervise third-party contractors and ensure compliance with contractual and safety requirements., • Maintain emergency preparedness and incident response readiness. Requirements • Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Process, Environmental, or related discipline)., • Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing industrial plant operations., • Experience in biogas, biomethane, energy, waste treatment, wastewater treatment, or similar process industries is highly desirable., • Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills., • Strong understanding of industrial safety and environmental regulations., • Results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset., • Availability to travel regionally and support emergency situations when required.
