Own the architecture & roadmap: From MVP to early scale; set standards for reliability, security, and velocity. Overlook core product: • Categorization engine (MCC/ML), spend forecasting, budgeting logic., • Rewards marketplace & partner integrations., • Interact with software vendors on a daily basis, • AI/ML layer: Maintain pragmatic models (e.g., sklearn/Prophet, embeddings, rules + LLMs) and 3rd-party AI integrations (OpenAI, etc.) for tips, classification, and personalization—privacy-first., • Security & compliance: Privacy-by-design, GDPR/PSD2 alignment, data minimization, tokenized bank access., • Investor-facing: Present the stack, roadmap, and moat; handle technical diligence; translate complex tradeoffs clearly., • Backend: Node.js/TypeScript or Python services; Firebase/GCP to start; Postgres/Firestore; REST/GraphQL, • AI/ML: Python (pandas, scikit-learn, Prophet/ARIMA), optional PyTorch; prompt/LLM tooling; feature stores later, • Live product with stable bank sync, categorization >90% accuracy on top categories, and proactive alerts, • AI tips engine shipping weekly improvements from real usage data., • Clear data model, logs/metrics/dashboards, and on-call basics in place., • 2–5 years building production software at a startup or high-ownership team., • Shipped features across the stack (frontend + backend + data)., • Hands-on AI/ML exposure (classification, forecasting) and comfort integrating external AI APIs., • Experience with cloud (GCP/AWS), APIs, auth/OIDC, and secure data handling., • Strong product instincts and UX empathy; bias to ship, measure, iterate., • Outstanding communication & presence in investor meetings—able to explain architecture, tradeoffs, risks, and roadmap clearly.
