If you’re motivated by projects with real impact, you’ll find that here. The Opportunity We are looking for a responsible and proactive shift supervisor to join our operations team. In this role, you will ensure the efficiency, safety, and smooth running of our production line at Catalyxx’s facilities in La Rinconada. These facilities include fixed‑bed catalytic reactors (pilot and laboratory scale) and a separation plant (pilot scale), connected to a SCADA control system and an analytical system based on gas chromatography. The position reports to the Plant Manager. What You Will Do • Supervision and coordination of plant and reactor commissioning, start‑up, and operation through the control system (SCADA), including operation and monitoring tasks such as:, • Loading and unloading catalyst, • Equipment calibration, weighing, and measuring catalyst density, • Checking tank levels, • Transferring chemical products, • Changing gas cylinders, • Sampling from the plant’s various tanks, • Continuous monitoring of plant control -Data reporting and interpretation. Tasks include reviewing chromatograms and interpreting data in Excel for results analysis. In addition to daily reporting, periodic PowerPoint presentations will be required. -Preparation of reports in Spanish and English. • Maintenance of pumping systems. -Supervise and coordinate facility maintenance. Main tasks includes: replacing gaskets, cleaning valves, replacing tubing and fittings. -Coordinate shift handovers with other shift supervisors. Responsibilities & Working Conditions Shift Schedule: The work will be carried out in rotating 8 or 12‑hour shifts (to be defined). Flexibility and adaptability to rotating schedules are essential for this position. Night Shift Dynamics: During the night shifts the shift supervisor will be alone with one operator. This requires a high level of autonomy, trust, quick decision-making, and strong teamwork under minimal supervision. Onboarding & Training We care about your success and safety from day one. Therefore, you will be trained over an estimated 4 weeks period before starting this new work chapter to ensure you feel confident and fully prepared to handle all operational procedures. What We Are Looking For • Degree in Chemical Engineering / Industrial Engineering (preferably with a chemical specialization) / Chemistry., • Advanced proficiency in MS Office., • Experience managing teams (direct reports)., • Basic training or experience in Occupational Risk Prevention., • English level B2 – part of the interview will be conducted in English. Key Skills (Must Have) • Proactivity, • Ability to manage teams and resolve interpersonal conflicts, • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks, • Excellent verbal and written communication, • Problem‑solving and responsibility, • Ability to work under pressure and independently (nights shifts the shift supervisor will work with an operator only) Key Skills (Nice to Have) • Experience leading shift teams, • Experience in catalyst testing, • Experience in distillation plants or chemical processes, • Experience working in pilot plants, • Experience in gas chromatography, • Experience working in ATEX environments, • Intermediate or advanced training in Occupational Risk Prevention, • Training and/or experience in Quality and Environment, • Experience in preventive and/or corrective maintenance, • Experience working with control or SCADA systems, • High level of English
