ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM The Knot Worldwide is seeking an individual enthusiastic about learning, expanding their skills, and embracing fresh challenges within a general ledger accounting position. The Staff Accountant is someone who is flexible, has a solid accounting and technical foundation and aptitude, is detail-oriented, and has a desire to dive-in and roll-up their sleeves to gain an understanding of the Company and the industry in which the company operates in. The Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and collaborate closely with various departments and internal stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist with accounting month-end close procedures, including monthly reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts, and preparation of journal entries in compliance with US GAAP & Spanish GAAP, • Maintain and monitor the Company’s general ledger (GL) and be responsible for obtaining supporting documentation for the GL activities, • Prepare fluctuation analysis for monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting, • Assist in preparing for financial audits and responding to queries from external auditors., • Interact with various levels of staff and management across Accounting as well as other departments to obtain information, resolve issues and provide support on ad hoc projects, as needed, • Assist the Accounting Manager in creating validation procedures to support internal and external monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements, • Contribute to the development, implementation, and enforcement of company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls, • Support the Accounting Manager in improving and accelerating the current month-end close process to shorten the close timeline by Q2 2026 SUCCESSFUL STAFF ACCOUNTANT CANDIDATES HAVE: • A degree in Business Administration and Management or equivalent, • 0-2 years of relevant work experience, • Advanced English level both spoken and written, • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements, • The ability to research and interpret basic accounting guidance, • Experience with general ledgers and account reconciliations, • Advanced skills with the MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills, • The ability to work well in a high-growth work environment, where flexibility is key, • Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate while being concise IT’S A BONUS IF YOU HAVE: • Public Accounting experience, • Experience working in global environment, collaborating with international team members, • Experience working with NetSuite ERP system, • Experience with Coupa Procure to Pay system, • Experience working with Google Suite WORK MODEL: This role is Together@TKWW-eligible and based near one of our office hubs.
