What You'll Do As a Director – Sales on the Topic Activation path, within BCG Vantage and BCG’s Marketing, Sales, and Pricing Practice Area, you will play a key enabling role in supporting the Sales & Service leadership team in shaping and executing the strategic agenda across priority sectors. In particular, you will build, operationalize, and lead the day‑to‑day management of the GTM engine supporting the topic, including the Proposal Factory and BD desk mechanisms. You will ensure that the engine operates with speed, quality, and scalability to support commercial ambitions. You will be responsible for mobilizing and aligning Vantage resources to deliver a best‑in‑class operating model that enables high‑speed response and high‑quality support to commercial teams. This includes ensuring pipeline transparency, clear drumbeat management, and disciplined execution rhythms. Additionally, you will lead the systematic capture of project knowledge and the development of shared repositories, ensuring assets, references, and proposal materials remain current and easily accessible, with the support of your Vantage team. Together with your team, you will deliver the assets required for case teams to succeed, ensuring the highest quality of client‑ready materials, including proposals, diagnostics, and demos. In sum, you will build, lead, and deploy a team of Sales experts to provide high‑impact, value‑added support aligned with business and leadership priorities. You will be accountable for team performance across key dimensions, including case billability, delivery quality, commercial impact, and content creation, while also owning capability development, coaching, and career progression. YOU'RE GOOD AT Leading problem solving and solutioning for client tools, business development commercialization, and commercial engines, driving pragmatic, value‑focused solutions tailored to the business and client context Understanding how commercial engines operate, including BD desks and drumbeat models, and translating strategy into action by putting initiatives into motion and ensuring consistent execution Progressively teaming to drive projects in a highly effective manner, mobilizing and orchestrating teams to deliver on leadership priorities, business outcomes, and measurable commercial impact Engaging and communicating with senior stakeholders, including topic and practice leadership, demonstrating expert presence, credibility, and the ability to translate strategy into execution Demonstrating strong technology acumen and a genuine interest in innovation, leveraging AI and digital tools to enhance commercial effectiveness and continuously evolve the GTM engine Acting as a highly effective coach and mentor, supporting team members’ development, performance, and career progression while fostering a high‑accountability, high‑collaboration environment Operating effectively in a fast‑paced, complex, and evolving environment, comfortable with ambiguity and supporting leadership in navigating shifting priorities and emerging opportunities Shape and execute the evolution of the Vantage operating model into a scalable, repeatable commercial engine What You'll Bring Professional experience driving commercial processes and managing client relationships required, with strong AI and analytical capabilities; consulting experience preferred Deep expertise in Sales considered a strong plus In lieu of directly relevant experience, a minimum of 8+ years of industry experience required; 12–14+ years strongly preferred Bachelor’s degree required (advanced degree preferred) Specialization in Sales or a closely related commercial field Fluency in English required; additional languages may be required in certain locations Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and manage internal and external stakeholders in a global, collaborative team environment Who You'll Work With As a Director - Sales, BCG Vantage on our Topic Activation path, you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients.
