Purpose of the role As ISP’s Regional Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the execution of construction and regulatory compliance projects across the growing Iberia portfolio, currently consisting of 15 schools. You will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of expansion, renovation, and school facility improvement projects, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The role requires strong stakeholder management skills, working closely with school principals, regional teams, consultants, and external contractors to ensure successful outcomes at both local and regional levels. You will report directly to the Head of Property – Iberia. Key Responsibilities Project Management • Collaborate with schools in defining and consolidating the annual CapEx project pipeline., • Support the preparation of business cases and feasibility analyses for project approvals., • Coordinate the initial phases of scope definition, capacity planning, cost estimation, and scheduling together with each school’s teams., • Manage design, tendering, and construction processes to ensure the successful delivery of renovation and construction projects., • Monitor project progress through regular site visits and continuous reporting., • Control CapEx budgets, planning, and forecasting, ensuring sound financial management., • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, within scope, and according to defined quality standards., • Maintain effective communication between schools, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders. New School Onboarding • Support the Head of Property in integrating new schools into the region., • Conduct technical and capacity assessments when required., • Advise leadership teams on reviewing and updating school capacity assessments. Budget Control • Monitor and control annual CapEx expenditure on a monthly basis., • Identify budget variances and propose corrective actions. Energy Efficiency & Sustainability • Manage energy supply contracts, promoting cost and consumption optimization initiatives., • Prepare annual utilities budgets and carry out regular monitoring of spending and forecasts., • Support sustainability initiatives, carbon footprint reduction, and energy efficiency programs across schools. Compliance & Safety • Ensure all projects comply with current regulations, quality standards, and health & safety requirements., • Provide Health & Safety guidance and support to schools across the region regarding building-related matters., • Oversee the updating of licenses and the proper filing of regulatory documentation for each school., • Maintain active relationships with public authorities and local regulatory bodies. Reporting & Stakeholder Management • Prepare regular reports on project status and key performance indicators., • Advise school principals on technical, budgetary, and project management matters., • Collaborate cross-functionally with regional and global ISP teams. Candidate Profile Education & Experience • University degree in Architecture or Engineering., • A Master’s degree in Project Management will be considered an advantage., • More than 5 years of experience in construction and infrastructure project management., • Experience managing multi-site projects and/or new building construction projects., • Strong experience in CapEx budget management. Languages & Tools • Fluent English (spoken and written)., • Portuguese will be considered a plus., • Advanced proficiency in MS Office. Other • Availability to travel occasionally within Spain and Portugal., • Experience in the education sector will be valued, although it is not essential., • Immediate availability (this is an urgent position), • Availability for a hybrid working model (3 days remote working and 2 days office-based in Alcobendas).
