A new automotive brand, part of a leading Chinese automotive group, is establishing its European production hub in Spain. We are now hiring a ESG Manager to architect and lead the EU environmental, social, and governance strategy. Job Responsibilities: Directly or indirectly manage compliance with current and future ESG-related local and EU regulations (EUBR, EUDR, F-gas, CO2 emission performance standards for cars, CBAM, CSDDD, CSRD, EU Forced Labor, Green Claim, CLP, etc.). Track international and EU ESG regulatory developments and provide guidance to ensure compliance. Communicate with EU/local ESG legislative bodies to stay updated on regulation development and amendments. Empower local employees on ESG compliance awareness and supervise implementation. Implement ESG projects including carbon neutrality, renewable energy adoption, and green supply chain initiatives. Develop and monitor ESG performance indicators and prepare ESG-related reports in line with international standards/regulations (GRI, SASB, CSRD, etc.). Coordinate with internal departments (HR, Operations, Compliance, Manufacture, R&D, Supply Chain,EU Subsidiaries etc.) to integrate ESG practices into business operations. Coordinate external ESG audits and rating agency evaluations, ensuring transparent and accurate disclosures. Assisting in engaging with stakeholders including investors, government agencies, NGOs, and industry associations to strengthen ESG reputation, collecting and tracking stakeholder (including consumers) expectations regarding Chery’s ESG practices. Assisting in promoting corporate social responsibility activities and drive employee participation in sustainability programs and communicate Chery’s ESG practices in the EU to enhance brand image. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or above in Environmental Science, Law, Sustainability, ESG, Automotive or automotive-related major, Business Administration, or related fields. 5+ years of ESG, sustainability, compliance, or corporate social responsibility experience. Familiarity with international and EU ESG standards and frameworks (GRI, SASB, CSRD, TCFD, UN SDGs). Strong project management, stakeholder communication, and result driven. Fluent in English, Spanish or Catalan; Chinese is a plus. Experience in consulting, multinational corporations or automotive/industrial sectors preferred. Strong data analysis, reporting, and presentation skills. High level of integrity, strategic thinking, and ability to work under pressure.
